hey all maybe some1 could enlighten me ive been grown grape krush since last fall the yields are allways great but the trichrome production seems to lack. longest ive let 1 flower is 52 days and had some trice but not many. heres a pic of my main cola on the GK shes today 39days 12/12 pic was last night

the rest of my strains in flower sugar shack memory loss produce mad mad ammount of trice what give's with the GK ???

dj short varieties usually have small calyx and trichomes.

my guess is they are there.

sounds like you want a more indica indica.. those can have huge trichs..

The amount of trichomes doesnt mean anything... I've had plants covered with trichs which was just ok and some with just a little sugar that whacked you... its the amount of resin in the trichs that count.. also, the longest you let one flower in 52 days?? I'd let it go another couple weeks and try that out...

yeah try letting it go past 60 days or even to 70, alot of strains frost up alot during the last 2 weeks.

I concur with letting it go longer. It could be the pheno, and also as Iceman said, not all trichs are created equal.

Maj - do you think you could take another pic of that GK cola for us with a bit more focus. Its really hard to see from that pic.

yes seedy apon inspection my ole eyes need my 10x jewelers eye but thier there trichromes silly me bad eyes

yes Ice i understand The amount of trichomes doesnt mean anything it's the potentancy that counts. the stuff i smoked from my nephew was very good taste and high thats for sure.

thx Noc yes alot of strains dont do good on trics untill the last few wks guess the sugar shack and Jaws Memory Loss has spoiled me lol looks like the dang Canibis Alps in my cab

hey Ezra great grow you have running, yes i'll let this GK go untill last plant in cab this run should be between 65-70 days. then i'll have 10 memory loss and 3 gk to run.

your want is done heres another 2 pics of this GK's main cola she's on day 40 12/12 in 1 gal grow bag bag FFOF soil. it get's

2 tsp liquide karma per gal water
2 tsp diamond necture per gal water
2 tsp sweet per gal water
1tsp calmag+ per gal water
every other watering right now, since 30 days 12/12 it's been hit every watering with
1 tsp per gal soil indoneasion guano
1 tsp per gal soil budswell dry formula
added as top soil dressing then slowely watered into soil. the guanos coinside with the regular fert feedings





notice the cola next to the huge gk main thats a urkel pheno memory loss it's 34 days 12/12 has had visable to my ole eyes trics since approx 18-20 days 12/12. now the sugar shack it produces trics soon as flower start to stack and pack

Memory Loss is a cross of urkel by strawberry desiel male unsure what the sugar shack is crossed of but it makes my cab smell like rotting fruit the GK smells like grape candy and the memory loss is another fruity strain lmao i almost have a jolly rancher bowl in my cab. when this GK pheon is in veg her leaves compared to my other plants had a for sure blue hue to them.

i can also say this for the Grape Krush this isnt no sloutch on yield either the main top in the pic is bent approx 14-16 inch down from tip its a solid 10-11 inch now and solid dense. i started to experince bleaching from my light thats why i crushed and bent the main over like that.

heres a quick nug shot of the sugar shack same 40 days 12/12 both plants went into flower same time. the shack dosent yield heavy but she's a real heavy hitter and the ammount of kief hash produced by her is a mind blower.


she's turning purple in 82 degree temps

i bent the main top once again that far down everything below this solid section stands up like small tops themselves. the nug is 2.5 finger wide thick round and solid very dense she's 42 days 12/12. just imagine how narly huge this is gonne get over the next 20 days type thing lol

its still really hard to see the tricks in the pic, but it does look like the buds are still developing. The calyxes are relatively small, and there is a preponderance of fresh pistils, so... I guess they need more time for the trichs too.

I would say though, judging by the way the light is reflecting from the buds in your pic that the calyxes are frosty and the leaves are not. This is primarily a sativa trait IMO as they were not bread for hashish production.

right on Ezra thx yes more trics on the calyxes then leaf this pheon i'm running seems to have very high calyxe to leaf ratio.the plant last night was 42 days 12/12, the taste and very nice high this strain produces is why she's in my cab. reason why light hit's the top wierd is i had to crush and bend the main top over from about 1ft down, i'll admit it's no where near as strong as the sugar shack i've been grown this last yr but the GK taste thats where it's at just like when i grew out a schroom plant. i love fresh picked mushrooms and schroom smelled and tasted just like a fresh picked mushroom lol.

It's Morel season isn't it? Nice plants/pics love to see more, a whole plant shot maybe? That GK is the only strain left I want from the Bay...ok maybe Mango Haze also lol.
