My Ducksfoot crosses @ SeedBay
Hi folks,
next week I'm gonna put two of my DF crosses in SB auctions. There will be only 2 packs for each one. Here the descriptions: CALIFOOT I've pollinated my frostiest Cali Special with my erliest and healthiest Ducksfoot. The Cali mom was a tall sativa looking plant with a very good density of trichomes and a potent balanced effect. Both the parents were fully grown outdoor since germination in temperate area showing an optimal resistence to insects attacks and sudden changes of weather. Expect a very vigorous sativa dominant strain with some stretching in flowering. Harvest time: unknown. Production: Autumn 2006 11 Seeds DUCKSFOOT F2 Same father of Califoot, same method of growing. Simply the best Ducksfoots of my garden crossed. Harvest time: variable Production: Autumn 2006 12 Seeds Some pics of the Cali.Special mother used in Califoot |

Have you tested these crosses Syd?
Wally said that the ducky-leaves on his crosses are recessive, so making f2's of them would only provide 25% with this trait right? |

Hi Dr.,
they're untested yet. I'm germing the first ones just in these days. As outdoorer I can grow only once per year. Yes, the webbed trait is recessive and you won't probably find it in Califoot but just in some Ducksfoot F2s or, if you wanna make 'em, in Califoot F2. In facts this is my first step to preserve the webbed trait as Wally stopped to produce DFs 3 years ago. |

have you stabilised the cross ?? And isolated the mutant gene ? Identifying two great plants isnt enough , they can give any combination of traits in fact may be worse than the parents , these need testing , smoke reports . You cant sell crap beans , give em away ! thats how breeders do it from what i gather . I intend to make seeds myself , i hope that seed companies are more thorough after all why name a strain if you dont know what it really is ?

Anyway just never bid in "Untested Seed Varieties" section, if you think they're all crappy. Simple again. Last edited by Syd; 05-04-2007 at 11:07 PM.. |

Hi Wally, nice to see you. Yes, my friends and I are germing the first ones. Now I need to free some space for DF F2s and some other califoots and make 'em start too.
P.S. I've sent to SB a pack of Ducksfoot F2b as freebie made with a different mother, more short and compact. It's only 1 pack but try to request it, if you're interested. Last edited by Syd; 05-05-2007 at 01:47 PM.. |

Dude, you need to give breeding lessons to someone else....or not. Don't assume your ding-dong's bigger...I assure you it ain't. He posted up correct info for a hybrid he intends to sell on Ebay. Tell me the difference between a hybrid and a strain without looking it up, then maybe you can come back here and comment. Sheesh. |
