Tor & Privoxy
Hey all
Got both of those loaded and tor button is on... Using firefox. Now I went to https://www.whatismyipaddress.com/ And it still shows where I am ?? It just says proxy server detected. Why isnt it concealing my location? |

It should show a different IP address...try going to whatsmyipaddress with the Firefox/Tor then without..See if the ip addy has changed when using Firefox/tor...if it doesn't change you have a problem..try reinstalling the programs (start over)....mitsu

I just Googled, "firefox tor button" (without quotes) and the results came back with info about Torbutton (where to download it, as well). You need to install it to be able to turn Tor on and off in the Firefox browser.
Hope this helps.

Well, I got the button installed and seem to works. Once i click on the button. I lost my signal. My firefox can't find my home page, IE Yahoo. I'm guess, one of my settings is off or something. Been reading the FAQ, but still nothing. Any helps? Thanks all and can't wait to get this all taken care of.

Firefox is cool because you can set rulesets to only use the proxy on certain sites of your choice... will automatically switch between live and proxy connection depending on what address your visiting.
