HHF, thanks, that looks very profesional. You'll have to bear with me while I get my non academic teeth into that one.

I am wondering if it is possible for some landrace/equatorial sativas to adapt over time to a different climate and retain much of their original quality? Maybe I should ask Darwin...

No problem bro, it is a old model from CW that may/may not be useful. Personally i always found peoples descriptions, in there own words more interesting. But it is also useful to keep them in a standard format. So not a problem either way Spider.

Best, hhf

Hi MM,

Yeh they sure will! cant say i feel bad for you, lol, definitely use them if you can select some nice ones. They carry some wonderful traits over to their offspring we are finding in test crosses with some of our selections. Also these are really worth while investing the time to create f2's from bro. The segregation in the f2 generations really does consistently show some great plants, exactly what we where looking for.

Bests, hf

I had a male from the colombian Gold line I have for a couple of years, used to him to make a lot of crosses. Of the ones I've tried, the Colombian is not usually dominant, but the Colombian dom phenos are usually very nice.

Hola BH,

We are finding so far in test crosses with our Goldbud line that the males are very dominant for most visable traits when crossed to pure Indicas. Producing very Sativa dominant growth patterns and look. We are evaluating these crosses now, be interesting later in the year to see what the outcomes are.

Peace, hf

So far i have only test grown a small number of the CG crosses I've made, the Cg was not dominant in the crosses to Grapefruitbowl and El Nino, but was in the cross to Lowryder. A load of folks have grown out some other crosses and it would seem the Colombian dominant phenos are less common in some of the crosses, this may be more to do with dominant strains I have chosen (unwittingly). One friend in the Uk is currently growing out some CG x LR backcrossed to the CG beans I shared with him and he has 6 foot monsters on his hands that looks very Colombian (and impressive I might add). One trait noticed in all he CG hybrids is extreme vigour. The CG itself is pretty vigourous, but when outcrossed, the offspring seem extremely healthy and vigourous, this is a trait from the CG as its the hardiest and least picky sativa I've grown. I had a couple of gorgeous Zamal x Colombian Gold ladies just sexed back in April but sadly they were lost when I lost my garden while at the 420 Cup. One was Zamal dom, the other CG dom, I was really looking forward to seeing how those genes blended.

When I have a new garden setup, I have some Colombian Gold x C99, Colombian Gold x Malawi Gold and (Colombian Gold x C99) Malawi Gold I am itching to try out, plus some pure CG and Malawi, then again, I have a lot of strains I am itching to grow out, but don't we all! lol

Here's my F1 Colombian Gold x Grapefruitbowl, she is Grapefruitbowl dominant but you can taste the Colombian's sandalwood flavour in there and detect the Colombian influence in the happy, daydreamy quality of the high. I chose a Colombian dominant F1 male to make the F2s with the aim of increasing the Colombian influence.
