First Coco Grow - God Bud,The Purps,PPP,NLxS,CBS07(bagseed)
Hi everyone.. new to growing in general but I like Coco now that I understand alittle more about it
I try a Coco Sog under t5/floros to see how it does compared to my Hydro Scrog under mh/hps in the same amount of space.I have 15 un sex'd plants under a 2ft 4 bulb t5 6500k now in Cups of Coco and 4 more that are fresh in cups that just got moved from wet toilet paper(works well). I'll be moving them to my 6x6 Botanicare Coco Grow blocks 2days from now. The site said these blocks don't need prewashing phew. The T5 there under is apox 8000lumens and I have it 4inchs above them.. since I burnt some with it lower heh.. They seem to like it where it's at now thou. I have a humidifier and a fan on them also and just feed them run to waste every so often. Just found out they take roots in less wet coco so trying to keep it from getting soggy but not drying.. God Bud A NLxS C At the moment I'm only using Canna Coco A&B with Hygrozyme and Diamond Nectar.. I have Floralicious grow,Wet Betty and Hydroguard,I also have RO now so I'm not even sure I need Hydroguard with coco. I'll see how they like a foliar spray of Floralicious grow and Wet Betty after the transplant. For Bloom I was gonna get Floralicious Bloom,Canna PK13/14 and Koolbloom for my Hydro setup.. are these ok for Coco?? Or could I just switch my Canna A&B and Canna PK 13/14 out for maybe Flora Nova bloom since it's Coco? I'm don't know I'm a noob. If anyone has any suggestions on nutrients I missed/should get for Veg/Bloom please let me know ASAP ![]() More pics in 2 days.. Last edited by HENNESSY; 04-22-2007 at 09:22 PM.. |

T5's and seedlings in coco....sounds good
![]() Don't have experience with those nutes so I'll defer to others.....I have seen growers report good results with both lines...but I have no personal experience ith any of those products.... Quote:
I loooove Botanicare products ![]() 'cept for Hydroguard....that shit is useless IMO good luck!!

Well transplanting the ones in my Hydro system into my 6x6 Coco blocks.. having problems with my hydro system.. might just throw it out since coco is so easy.
I made a batch of nutes 8ml/gal Canna Coca A&B 5ml/gal Floralicious Grow 5ml/gal Diamond Nectar 5ml/gal Hygrozyme PPM was 300 exactly and PH was 4.6 I moved the PH up to 5.8 and put a Gal into each 6x6 Coco block. I'll do the rest tomorrow. |

Watch em really close Hennessy, A+B at this point should be used very sparingly! They look to be about 10 days old or so, is this correct? At this point I'd feed em about 2 mL/gal of A+B and 2mL/gal of Rhizotonic if you can get your hands on some. The Rhizo is for the roots. I never used more than 6 mL/gal of the A+B my entire grow.
How did the root development look when you transplanted them? You said you were going to set up a drip system, is this correct? Read my thread if you've got the time as it's got a lot of useful info from a lot of the good folks in this forum. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=48054 Peace Edited: Keep and eye on your ec too. You said the site told you the coco bricks didn't need to be flushed but Canna coco is the only coco I've ever used and it's the only coco I can say for sure doesn't need flushing. Not saying yours does, just that I don't have any experience with that. And I like to speak in ?mL/gal since not all ec meters are the same, lol. You're OK right now using straight RO water but it won't be long till you'll need to start mixing your RO 50/50 with tap water so your plants will get the trace minerals they need since the RO has filtered these out. Matter of fact you can go ahead and start doing this now if you'd like. If you're having to go somewhere else to get your RO water, this will save you time and money. You said you've got a dehumidifier didn't you? I use the water my dehumidifier makes as my supply of RO. Have been doing this for a while and I've not had to make another trip to the RO well, hehe. I get about 3-4 gal/day of reclaimed water from my dehumidifier. If your dehumidifier has an attachment for a garden hose like mine does, just hook a hose up to it, set the dehumidifier on a stable platform about 2 feet off the floor and drop the hose into a 5 gal jug. When it gets half full, add the nutes and pH up or down and add the tap water. Adding the tap will mix it all together. Re-check your pH and adjust if necessary and you've got 5 gal of prepped water. This is what I do when I hand water. When your drip system is all set up you can change the regimen. Last edited by mojo; 04-22-2007 at 11:17 PM.. |

Moved everything under my 400w MH.. apox..18inchs above them.. hope this is ok.
By the looks of this picture.. how many of the 6x6 squares do you think I should put in here? I have ALOT of extra lighting laying around also.. 2ft T5 8000lumens fixtures x2,125w CFLs x4,and alot of other assorted CFLs. I have another Airtube and 2 HPS Bulbs laying around also heh. Hydro system problems slowed my 6plants so I had no choice but to take em out.. Roots in my Coco cups shot past the ones in my Hydro.. I'm just not experienced enough I'll say heh.. PH kept raising to fast also. God Bud C Last edited by HENNESSY; 04-23-2007 at 12:05 AM.. |

If I'm going to 20+plants I'd better look into a drip system heh I'll read your link. I'm not totally sure how old I should count em.. I put the seeds in water on 4/2/07 that full moon night.. I don't really care how long I have to Veg... my first run in all. PPP D (my largest one) Last edited by HENNESSY; 04-23-2007 at 12:13 AM.. |

Found this PDF of Canna Coco .. it has a Feed Schedule at the bottom. But I'm going to watch them.. I'll give an update Tomorrow.. or later tonight. I gave all the others a dose of it to see how they react also. Giving them a 3hour break from the light big jump from 8000lumens to 55000lumens... misted them a little foliar feed mix of Wet Betty and Floralicious because of the break so see how they like that. Some of them are started to turn forest green so thats good,we'll see what the foliar feed does..

I have this Co2 Boost thing so I turned it on low .. letting that and some other lights go over night. Two of my 125w 6500k CFLs along side of the 400w MH.. Gonna see if they can handle that or not.

gday hennessy.
ive used this coco before how are you finding it? some of the bricks if this is coco peat in brick(can barely read lable) form was pretty high in salts took me a good 12 hours to flush below 2.oec started at 2.8ec run off. If you havnt flushed for the first couple of weeks run nute slightly lower than you normally would and flush weekly. |
