Dried buds of Jack Herer F2 - WJ Seeds
These are some dried bud of some smaller branches I had harvested off of my JHF2 at ab 8 weeks into flower.. They have been dried hung down on a string for 2 weeks.. the cure is yet to come..
Smell: fruity, a little bit sour; even though the stems smelled very peachy during veg, the buds did not seem to develop the same peachy smell, like a pheno from the same seeds I had grown a few years ago, but it seems that it isn't the case this time... I still have hopes that the cure will bring out at least a bit of that peachy scent.. Taste and texture of smoke: not cured yet, so irrelevant to describe now.. anyhow, putting aside the harshness due to lack of cure, it tastes better than the peachy pheno, it has a curious "cheesy" taste.. High: Euphoric and "brain-chilling", though with a little more body sensation than the last pheno I had posted a smoke report on... but again, I hope the cure will have a say with respect to the high as well.. this is the smoke report from the "peachy" JHF2 pheno: Jack Herer F2 ("peachy" pheno) Smell of bud: very ripe peaches doubled with a black pepper spiciness Smoke taste and texture: earthy, not especially tasty and a bit harsh High: delayed entrance, it starts kicking in after about 15-20 minutes; all in the head, meditative, cognitive introspection, slightly trippy sometimes; the last time I smoked it I was watching some political issues in the news and somehow my mind was making sense of some of the not-so-obvious subtleties of the issues involved Effect on eyes: almost no eye redness Last edited by sznake; 04-14-2007 at 05:44 PM.. |

Thanks for the props!
Yup, Willy Jack.. got'em from good'ol Marc Emery back in the day when his seed business was up... I haven't tried any other "Jack" variations, but I would love to read some reports.. HK: Yup, first of all they are from more peripheral branches, second it is a mostly Sativa, and third, most of the JH bud I had and have seen were airy with "fox tails" as they call'em.. in fact I think it is a distinguishing trait, the "fox tail" airy buds when it comes to JH.. ..the same trait is displayed by the african "Rooi Baard" (Red Beard Skunk), I'm guessing it is in its heritage.. This pheno actually didn't even display that much "foxtailing", the buds were actually fairly compact comapred to the "peach" pheno I had the last time.. Cheers! Well... ethereal, only if you told me that a few days ago before I chopped'em all..
they were at 10 weeks into flower and about 20-30% white pistils, still squeezing out a few more white hairs, but it seemed like the trichs were deteriorating so that's why I chopped'em... though the smell was still weak and not the sweetness I had experienced with the previous pheno.. |
