Humility or humidity? lol..big difference
![]() The Mexican gangs are growing pot on US soil now. Definitely some indica in the genetics. I used to get decent, skunky, lime green and crystally "Arizona" mids when I lived in NYC.

Thats a really nice bagseed plant you have there Delta, looks like a hybrid though, but who cares if it smokes good and it smokes as good as it looks....
Here is the sole plant I got from Cancun bagseed from 2003, my prior visit, was a lovely plant but turned out male, looked like an indica in veg, but once flipped into flower soon started to elongate and produce thinner leaves, no idea of its genetics. ![]() ![]() And here is an unknown Mexican IBL that has been preserved in Cali for a long time, I hink it is from the pacific coast as in flower it looked like the pics of Acapulco Gold in DJ Short's book. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't know if this is true of all of Mexico, but in Yucatan and Merida where I was, there are two different ethnic groups, the latin looking folks and the indigenous Indians, the latter being much smaller in height, often 5ft tall, the women even shorter (I'm 6ft 2 so I felt like a giant lol) and I found once you get away from the tourist areas you meet mostly indigenous looking folks, and they are incredibly nice, welcoming people, very tender and happy, lots of big toothy grins, it is among those folks I felt the safest and found the warmest atmosphere, once you get to the tourist areas you really notice the difference in the attitudes of pople, they seem to see us gringos as walking cash vending machines and only want our dinero, in the rural towns away from the tourist trail the difference in the people's attitude towards you can be astounding. |

the mexicans have moved alot of op's out to middle america.. Well, basically all over the U.S... I puffed on satudrday night some mid's really green semi hard compressed nugsz.
Acutally they were layered.. Man what a odor very kind. Reminded me of when i was young going to see black sabbath, hashy, and the smell was very good no trich coverage was apparent.. But none the less.. Not bad at all.. We even made a mixed salad with ak48.. Id say it gave us a lil butt kick.. before i found good seeds all i grew was brick or mexi brick.. weed.. Not bad but not great.. It will do when thats all ya got.. But when i made the switch from bag to nirvana i was in heaven.. Big difference.. in taste, smell, stoned etc... The mexi to me all has a real similar taste and odor.. good thread.. peace.. sack

British Hempire, your expirence in mexico makes me wanna go and check it out! I know people in the mid west (mainly Ill. IN. OH.) who cant find mexican brick, but can get you all you want of the mids- which no doubt has to be domestic. They call "fourty" where I'm from because its 40 a 1/4, where as brick goes for 60 oz.

Mexico is an amazing country. I could spend a lifetime studying mexican religion or mexican cannabis or better yet both! I've never been to the Gulf coast.
TomHill just sent us a polyMexican line bred by an importer of Mexican herb from the very best of mexico over the years. Looking at the seeds my interest is peaked they're unmottled, large shiny grey and brown round and flattened. They have a deep caruncle and many have a dominant brown lip that goes 360 degrees like many african seeds. I've seen it on guerreran oaxacan and thai seeds but they normally have a less pronounced white lip on a small spheorid unflattened seed with a very discreet caruncle and some of the seeds tom sent have this version of the trait also. I believe this difference is the difference between pre and post thai introduction. Then there's the seeds from post Afghan and dutch seed introduction which are frequently large and typicall either the shape of your average f1 dutch hybrid and brown with black stripes or huge black spheroid seeds. Perhaps it is wishful thinking but its very possible the seeds Tom gave us contain the best of genes of lines from before and after the introduction of thai from Jalisco, Michoacan, Mexico, Zacatecas, Guerrero and Oaxaca. Since Mendocino is a higher latitude drier climate the Zacatecas Mexico Jalisco and Michoacan strains would probably perform best and be the most responsive to ripening from the shortening days and cooler temps of fall. |
