What would mexi brick be???
what strain do you guys think mexi brick weed is??? And when you go to other places and get seeds from commercial weed how do you feel about starting projects from basically unknown sources?
Reason why I'm asking the first question is a buddy gave me a qp of "something special" to try buds were 3 fingers and about 6 inches long and was very good without aot of resin I found out today it was grown from seeds found in a lb of brick weed so basically asking you guys what do you think??? ggg |

if i get some bagseed from some bud i particularly enjoyed then i will save some seed from it to grow out personally.
as far as the origin of brickweed, probably some wild weed that grows outdoors and has naturally pollinated other plants that werent cared for with a green thumb. |

How tightly was it bricked? Many don't realize a good portion of the brickweed available in america is actually domestically produced. Within the past 10 yrs in the united states I've seen brickweed that I've been certain was from appalachia (north georgia), guyana, mexico, belize, colombia and thailand. Now 99% of that is from appalachia and mexico. The main difference between is the bricked mexican will be perfectly flat buds whereas the domestic won't be bricked as tight and will still have some roundness to it. Depending on where you are the mexican is probably from either michoacan or less probable guerrero or if you're from closer to the gulf of mexico is could be from one of the mexican gulf states. In michoacan and guerrero most of what is grown is hybrids with indica and genetics from either colombia, mexico, jamaica or thailand. Though there still are some pure mexicans or mexican dominant hybrids grown there. However motaco has convinced me there's still some pure sativas being grown frequently on the gulf coast. The gulf coast is very humid and hot and the landrace sativas are still the best thing to grow as a commercial product in this region.

zamalito i think there's still a lot of grass grown in sinaloa, further north. a lot of what ends up in southern california was grown in the coastal mountains of sinaloa, shipped across the sea of cortez or trucked north through sonora, and crosses the border at tj, mexicali, or the arizona border. this is info i gleaned from a conversation with a veteran smoker in san felipe, bcn. this same person also mentioned,w ithout prompting, that dutch genetics were being purchased and grown in that region.
ginogreeng i would definitely grow it, what are you waiting for? if it's a pure landrace it may be difficult to grow, but cross it with a dutch strain and you will have a killer hybrid. if it's already hybridized it should be a wonderful indoor plant. i'm gotten some real gems out of bricked stuff, especially the 'special' more costly brick, which is usually not landrace.

Yep muddy, I forgot to mention sinaloa which is about on par with michoacan. As far as export production their export herb almost solely consists of hybrids also.

Zamalito, i know your right, these mids ive been tokin are never as compressed as the brick ive always seen around + they're quite potent & i have noticed probably a dozen or more phenos (3-4 phenos usually per 1/4), sort of reminds me of the NL#5 x Hz (taste/smell wise) i made in the 90's from selvin the NL cut i had, i have gotten spoiled tokin this stuff, because i broke down & bought some of the cheap brickweed & boy was that some bunk, compared to these mids, i have prob 6-700 beans ive collected from these mids in the past 2yrs just for backup, nevertheless i will be happy when i finally produce my own again from known great strains !...Peace
