A real good TEA for feeding Soma Varieties in Organic Earth
Hi All...
I wish to post this recipe for a real good tea for feeding Soma Varieties. I have to admit that I don't have pics of plants fed with this so you must read the ingredients, decide for yourself, and then give me constructive criticism especially regarding the PH. All suggestions, additions, ideas, results, critique welcome. I will try to post some pics of plants fed only with this tea soon. It is best for Vegging plants, healing plants, or for feeding hungry plants. I will make a version for flowering that is probably just Bio-bloom and Kalong guano, instead of rootjuice and bio-grow. I have all the basic BioBizz nutes like root juice bio-bloom and bio-grow, yet I admit that the Vis-mix and alg-a-mic would make this tea unnecessary. I am doing some grows totally veganically for awhile to see the smoothness and softness of the dried cured buds, although I have had great success with fish emulsion and alg-a-mic making thick chunky and hard plants in the past. Ok here goes: I start with 2.5 gallons/9.46 Litres of 6.0 PH filtered water from a well in a remote rural area on Native American tribal land on an island (if you can't do this then choose the cleanest 6.0 PH water you can find without chlorine, get distilled water if you have to, although it won't be living water like well water. The well water I am using has way too much iron and possibly other heavy metals so I put it through a PUR filter before I use it. After filtration it tastes great and very clean. Then I add a tiny pour of Root Juice(follow directions on bottle), a little bit bigger pour of Biobizz Bio-grow (follow directions on bottle). Then if you want you can add a pinch of Kalong Guano although it is not necessary before flowering. I then check my PH again and adjust it when necessary w/ a pinch of Organic hawaiian Spirulina or a few drops from a ripe organic lime or meyer lemon. Usually, I like to use the Organic hawaiian spirulina even if it is already the right PH, because like fish emulsion it makes plants strong, hearty, resistant and Vital. I simply balance any Spirulina I add w/ some drops of the citrus. I hope this can aid people in getting the most from their Soma varieties. Please suggest other teas, as Diversity and Variety are what makes the world beautiful and evolution succeed. Also if folks like this thread I can make one for Mixes of Organic Earth, as I am experimenting with many different blends for the past years. I am also interrested in using bee honey for late flowering as a bee-keeper friend said it is a very successfull and kind way to give plants more sugar like the molasses from dutch sugar beets in the Bio-grow/bloom. It also must have some sort of flower essences as the top-max from Biobizz says it contains. I have also tried 100% Organic Grape Juice concentrate from Cascadian farms once, on a winter window Kush, for late-flowering pre-flush with great results. I was mildly excited to find some photos of my 2004 Amsterdam pad just because these were taken with an extremely low quality cheap camera early in the flowering season by my elf nieghbor squatter friend. The photos I took with a visitor from Maui after returning from 8 days working at full moon trance festival in germany were much sharper and better. The photos I made with my landlords girlfriends son were way better, sharper and more complete as it was w/ the highest quality camera, cleanest, highest, purest energy and closest to harvest. Unfortunately, he was going to post those pics on the net for me to have and it hasn't happened yet. In these photos, the plants were taken in from the porch on a stormy day, maybe 3 weeks from harvest. They were fed root juice and bio-grow then Kalong guano, Bio-bloom, and a little Alg-a-mic, Vis-mix, mother earth and neem oil. Some were in some sort of canna earth I think called Professional +Plus which was a combination of all kinds of humic peat and soft broken down barks that was super kind. Pregnant NYCDiesel clone from Soma grown on Amsterdam west porch 2004: Pregnant Somaskunk x SOL, this was from seed I got from a first love labeled original Somaskunk 2000. What about using Some Fijn Groen Klei from Germany I got at the naturwinkel before leaving NL or some Green Bentonite Clay in addition to Dolomitic lime for ph balance. It seems to have a diverse profile of minerals and I was thinking it might improve the quality of 50% soilless earth mixes. Any ideas?

Ok some good tea recipes here from "glass joe".
"Contributed by glass joe I have a recipe for an organic tea fertilizer. I would suggest this when your leaves show signs of yellowing. It often means lack of N (nitrogen) and store bought chemical ferts don't always do the trick, plus they build up (salts) in the soil. Try this: Put 2 cups of high-nitrogen bat or seabird guano (found at your local garden center or nursery) in the corner of a cloth bag, old pillowcases are perfect. Tie it in a knot around a stick and suspend it in a 5-gallon bucket of fresh (preferably distilled) water. It is now like a tea bag. Just shake the tea bag around several times a day. It should emit a dark secretion from the bag. After 2 days the water should be pretty dark. Take out the tea bag and dispose of it, or rinse it out to be reused. Use this dark water at a rate of 1-2 cups per gallon of fresh water and mix it up. This will give you a "tea" to water your plants with. Use it to water once, and then wait a few days to see if your plants like it. You can use this high Nitrogen tea whenever your plants tell you they need it (yellowing leaves). To make a bloom tea, use the same steps but replace the high-nitrogen guano with high-phosphorous guano. To use these teas most effectively, start with my organic soil mix at the beginning of your grow. It will provide the essential nutrients for a long time before your girls tell you they need something, by showing symptoms of deficiency. You can also use either tea more frequently, according to the growth rate of your plants, to greatly increase growth rate and flowering." Also there are other teas that can be made from alfalfa for vegetative growth and then various dried flowers for bloom stage feeding. Now outdoors some people have been known to make coffee and then dilute it onto their agriculture as an organic alternative to foliar feeding possible consumables. The coffee maker can make alot of diverse vegan teas of sorts, even from dried seaweed itself. Some vegan extremists use parsley teas and vegetable and fruit teas of various sorts and I would not discourage that, but have not yet tried it myself although it seems promising. Have used dried flower petals tea as a tea and works great. Most of the regular herbal tea/bags we drink can be fed to our plants. I throw the leftover leaf matter into my next growing medium in a constant cycle, the soil smells like potent earthy buds sometimes. You could make tea with dried excess trim or shake that had been hashed out. |
