Sea Of Green strains... help?

I am looking for an indoor strain that has a dominant cola bud and little to no side branching. (Keeping it under 3' (1m) at harvest would be nice)

Odor is not a concern, but potency is...(would like to see good yields too)

My current grow setup is an Ebb & Flow with good ventilation use MH/HPS with over 5000 lumens per square foot, plant spacing is currently at 8" (Though can bring it down to just under 7" if it helps) I like this setup and it fits my grow aria perfectly, but I have had trouble finding the right strain for the application.

I would prefer something relatively easy to grow, not overly sensitive to nutrients or ph, and not too susceptible to mold or mites. Quick rotation would be great too...

All recommendations specific or general will be appreciated.

I should mention that I'm on a budget (disabled vet, not commercial cropper). This is strictly for medical use and everything I don't use (overages) are donated to help other MMJ patients in my aria (so no income there).

Other than the despondency duchbags (claiming they arent making a profit while charging $300-400 an oz) most the caregivers I have spoken with (in my aria) are trying to make MMJ as affordable and available as possible to everyone that needs it. Feels good knowing that you can help someone get the meds they need without putting them in the poor house...

The guy I go with when I'm in need drives over an hour and still tries to refuse gas money (only way to get him to take it is to call it a donation in favor of the next guy that can't afford his meds)..

Thumbs up

Heavy Duty Fruity has been the best SOG plant I've come across so far. Check out THSeeds HOG. I'd love to try the hogsbreath pheno.

Serious Seeds - Chronic is an excellent choice for SOG.

Any indica or indica / sativa hybrid would probally work in a sog set up. afghan, nl, bogglegum. Oasis a nl#2 selection is supposed to be mite resistant. Big sticky single cola potent plant tend to trap moisture so mold can be a problem. Hepa filters and incorperating and sulfur burner can be use to prevent mold problems. you describe your light in lumes, is it a flo.? Intensidy of a fluorescent is only a few inches , leaves that are no longer productive tend to yellow and die.

I've grown shedloads of this and I can only say I'm disappointed with it.

Either I can't grow this shit no way no how ...

or

all the seeds I've popped are the cabbage pheno... ( 30 odd seeds)

never seen anything decent from it and its in the bin and will stay there.

I can believe that maybe I've been really unlucky with it..... looks good but is light, fluffy and full of leaves - hence cabbage and weighs fuckall when dry :( The high is a general hit that has no clarity and the taste is like cardboard (or maybe I been smoking the wrong end?)

Don't want to be down on this too much you understand and Serious do some class green but I can't say I've seen it in Chronic.

how long ago was it that u were so disappointed with the chronic fromm SS, it was changed in 2000 i think, improved upon, and stabilised further.
