Hey guys..

I need some advice. I have a buddy who is going to be shipping me some pain medication. I do not have a prescription for it, although it is much needed. I am in the Army and they are very strict on medicine over here (the most the will prescribe is 800mg of Ibuprofen). I am stationed in Korea, and from what I have read, packages sent to APO's (Army Post Office's), go through customs and are also X-Rayed. I am wondering what you guys suggest to ensure that it gets here properly.

I am having it shipped alongside a paintball gun, and my first thought was to conceal it in the internals of it, although I am doubtful of this now hearing that it will probably be x-rayed.

Another thought is to have it shipped as a sort of care package, with candy, cosmetics, etc. and conceal it in a big bottle of tylenol. Do you think the Xray will be able to determine differences in sizes of medicine?

Any other suggestions would be extremely helpful. The package will probably be opened and most certainly be X-Rayed. Are there ANY workarounds? Does anybody have any experience with APOs or getting shit through customs?

Would the x-ray be able to see through the barrel? Have him wrap it in a towel or something and stick it in the barrel of the gun. That may work.

See, that is what I am thinking, but from what I read about modern X-rays, the see in color--that is metal shows up one color and non-metal another. I bet that an X-ray will be able to see something underneath metal. In fact, I know so, think about it, an all-metal suitcase at an airport...

And this isn't something that I can exactly risk or test, as it will be in my name...

i would have your buddy conceal pills in a vitamin label'd bottle.stuff with cotton and glue safety seal back on,if possible.

That is what I am thinking my best bet is so far. I mean they are not going to test or question the meds if they are just pills in a bottle, they will think they are just what the label says, especially if shipped from a domestic address with other care package things. My only concern with going this route is an xray showing inconsistencies of the pills i.e. half a bottle of tylenol with bigger pills in the middle....

I think my only problem is the Xray machine. I certainly can conceal is the package is opened and inspected, that isn't my problem. The problem is if they see something unusual and know exactly where to look. If I conceal it outside of the package and the Xray machine shows something hidden in the tape, im fucked. I dunno, I just wish I could know for sure if they Xray or not at overseas APOs...

hmm for the record,. YA I know IF they spot something it could be a problem.. BUT .. can you control whats sent to you.. ?? NO SOO keep that in mind IF anything is said.. make sure that package has deniability ..dig??

you had me a bit worried at first, wanting meds sent... lol thought you were going to roll a few.. wait for leave to do that and only the first few days then stop,, kept me in the clear for years and allowed a few "breaks" hehe...
