The Homemade F1's Thread

One thing I'd personally like to see is people using our seeds to breed their own at home. For whatever reason many people have been given the impression that it's very difficult and it requires large populations to make your own seeds of high quality. If you'd like to have advice on making your own hybrids or show off pictures of f1's made with some landrace in its parentage or whatever wed love to see them. Even if you can only grow out 2-3 females of a landrace for a breeding project while that's not sufficient for a stabilization or preservation project t's still sufficient for making a nice quality f1 especially when crossing to a proven indica dominant strain.

hhf and zamalito, would this be an appropriate place to discuss how many F1s should ideally go into the making of F2s? what are the pros and cons of doing a 1:1 cross at the P1 and F1 levels if one's goal is to search through the F2s for a golden cutting or a potential new line?

jingles, beautiful couple you got there. i think you will be end up being glad you pollinated the entire afghan lady.
