i'll take a moment here to officially offer my thanks for this opportunity!

this will be a thread documenting my experience with this promo pack and passing everything i find on to you guys!

so far not a lot of info is available about the selfed line here on icmag's boards.. its a fairly new release and therefore understandably hasn't been grown out by many of our posting members.. but i have had my eyes on them for a while and have a large amount of confidence that these are stellar genes.

okay took me a few days to get my shit together but its go time for these little beans tomorrow so lets show em off..

okay here is my simple germ starting method..

i take my seeds and i place them inside a shotglass 3/4 filled with bottled drinking water (ro and all kinds of other filters.. then cal and mag added back in) ph 5.8. most all seeds usually float at first and after a 12 or 24 hour period the good ones have either sunk or are are sunken (or is it sunken or are sunk? ) with a slight tap on the top. all 10 of these were still floating today which was 24 hours in the glass.. so tapping was the best course of action.. all sunk straight away with one nicely placed tap. good beans from the looks of it! of course lots of non-viables will float even with relentless tapping regimens in place!

so yeah.. sunken beans..

so after 48 hours in the shot glass these were moved into rapid rooter plugs. a few of them have already broken the surface and a quick check today shows that they all look to have taproots.

lets hope they all make it up!

i was thinking.. should i try to straighten it??

i think i'm gonna put the rooter into a dixie cup and plant it a little deeper than normal and spread some coco around the loop so it doesn't bend or break when that weight starts spreading out across the top growth.. i think if i leave it as is above the surface it may be in trouble..
