Ham Radio operators?
Just curious who here is an Amateur Radio Operater? Who else here chases DX and burns one? Not asking for a callsign.

never made a radio out of a ham, but I made a digital clock run off of a potato once....it was a good time..LOL
do peeps still do the pirate radio stuff? |

I have a Ranger 2950.
It has been tweeked to go at 25w I spoke to some one from sasquatchawan, (ck spelling) while I was passing threw brooklyn, NY, and that was from my car. But I have not had it in use in about 5 years, can't put a anteana on my house.

what is the point of a ham radio (legit question not trying to be an ass). do you just try to talk to people far away and stuff?

yep, something about it bounces radio waves into the atmosphere and it almost randomly gets a hook up....i think
