white rhino meets grape krush!
the mom is a lovely white rhino originally from shanti but passed down to me from brothers grimm stock. the grape krush was bought some time ago on seed boutique. i was hoping to give the stealthy rhino a little more bouquet. the cross is very user friendly and easy to grow and clone. ive found two distinct phenos thus far and i ended up with three of each. the rhino phenos were ready at 45 days and have been harvested. the grape krush phenos are still flowering at day 50 and could be taken as well. im going to harvest the tops and leave the popcorn to swell a bit like i did with the rhino phenos. dispite some problems with spider mites and a bit of heat these plants did much better than the other crosses in the garden and seem to be very hardy and pest/disease resistant. they were grown in 3 gal. pots with fox farm soil. 1000w hortilux supplies the lumens under a 6" daystar vented through a can 100. i didnt have to feed them very much and they were more than happy sipping on a little sugar water and coco cat. i fed them a shot of hydroplex at weeks 3 and 5 at about 200 ppm's. i havent cured any yet but the dried flowers i have from the rhino phenos are very potent and are taking on a nice sweet overtone. the taste is earthy and very smooth and the buds are dense and long burning. i couldnt get the best pics but i think these will get the point across. once again thank you dj for all the great meds and reading material youve brought us over the years. long may you run.
these pics are of the grape krush phenos still flowering. the rhino phenos had a typical afghan structure with wide leaves and nice purple tips on the buds. |
