Exclamation week 5 of 13 whats up with this?

So I just can't figure out why my babe is behind schedule... there was a 3 day period where the light was raised to the ceiling to induce veg like growth but now that i think about it... . that prolly wasn't the best thing to do... I went seedling and veg with MH and 7 days on 12-12 with MH then converted to HPS. I went 36 hours complete dark before inducing 12-12 as well. Just recently did a transplant from one 5 gal to another for I didn't have rocks at the bottom to help along drainage and my pot was retaining quite a bit of water... Everything seems to be on track, we run kinda a cheat set up atm but pH is high 5 and near the top of soil its about neutral. Temp spikes lately with the changing weather... 100 F sometimes but not for long as we have a fan and control how much heat we retain in the room. My only thoughts are that A. the plant is not getting adequate fresh air B. the Co2 levels in the room have dropped C. im stupid. Any thoughts would help and if the plant looks to be retarded in its growth for week 5 would you suggest extending my harvest date... Also I'm thinking about introducing a honey/molasses type sugar... pure no additives to help provide the plant with some more sugar to fatten up tha buds ne thoughts on that one?

If this plant has been in BUD for 5 wks... you must have a light leak or something else is wrong... you should be showing buds.... I would direct a question to Franco.gh.. if these are that far into bud..

Nice plant otherwise however!!

Peace

Raising an HPS to the ceiling should not be a problem that causes delayed blooming. It's not like the plants were in the dark. They just didn't get a ton of light. I mean perhaps some radical change in total lumens per sq foot could screw with the plant, but then how does it deal with being shaded and such so well ?

Have you tried this in the Infirmary ? You'll get a lot more help there probably. Maybe not strain specific, but ideas... and questions.

Do you have light proof walls there or just blankets hanging up? Some strains are more sensitive to light leaks than others. You could have a strain thats quite sensitive and your dark period isn't quite dark enough.

Are you sure about the timer ? Maybe test/switch it.

Maybe it's a mutant

ok i do know timer is on schedule because we have had to use 3 diff ones to get one that worked just right ... but i will def check next im in there... Next about the walls. 3 sides are insulated as of this december while the fourth is a blanket outside 4 layers of plastic middle, and blanket inside. We use this method because previously we had some mylar up, but with foilar feeding it wasn't very clean and we removed it allowing the room to become a bit lighter! well I'm going to keep my eye on the pistil development because while we do have pistils, I just know that there is something not right with its development.. What about the fact that before i transplanted i had little drainage and noticed my lowest roots to be almost can you say rotting in a way because of their color vs. the rest of the roots.. The plant was transplanted 2 days before this photo so you can kinda see how its doing... I don't really know, but the ideas help!

Ok.. I had this VERY problem with Arjans Haze #1... I had a TINY TINY light leak.. I was flowering at nite... and ALL my other strains did just fine but ARJANS... just kept growin and growin.... I went in one day during dark period and saw a tiny stream of light that was HARDLY visable... I covered it and two weeks later my Arjans was throwin out floweres.....
THIS STRAIN IS VERY VERY sensitive to light

Peace

hm can you be specific to what cloth... what can i do to really get that light trapped in there? i know thats important just need to improve it as far as i can tell... also would you then suggest extending the flowering period and judge its maturity through resin gland production? i figured i would just use a 30 x microscope and check diff areas on the plant for glands and then get an idea of how the plant was doing... the only problem i face at this point in time is heat! im thinking of getting rid of that nasty cloth and replacing with a waterproof white plastic underneath a layer of mylar to help keep the light in while at the same time taking away a bit of the rooms ability to trap heat with those blankets! ne ideas on this ? I need to do it before the end of the week because im going on vacation and have a friend thats going to be watching my babe and since im going to be out of the country i want to make sure everything is going well and hell face no intense problems! feed back is great ill post some new pix tomorrow .... my cameras battery was dead tonight and i was planing on getting some preflower pix up... catch yall later

Dude.... go into ur room when the lights are OUT... see where the light is coming from...

you can't have ANY ANY ANY light AT ALL in the room when in DARK PERIOD... even a LITTLE bit of light keeps ARJAN from flowering...kinda like Reefermans Love Potion.. same way..

Peace
