Outdoor flowering question - Plz help! - Mandala Seeds - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

Hey Mike and other icmaggers, hope you're all doing well. I'd like to post a question pertaining to outdoor growing of Satori & Speed Queen in the sub tropics (let's just say not too far from cuba lattitude wise). My friend emailed me telling me to ask if there is any possible way to get plants started from seed outside at the beginning of the spring equinox, to flower early with out taking them inside or placing a black bag over them. At that lattitude, heat and humidity inside the bag would surely kill them. See, his issue is this. He germed 3 Satori, 2 blockheads and 2 speed queens, and a random bag seed. Originally, his idea was to take them inside and vegetate them for roughly 2-3 weeks and then start them flowering inside, then place them outside to finish so they wouldnt get too big and he would have them by july at the latest.

Unfortunatley, the indoor idea is no longer an option. So since they're already about 1 inch tall - he is concerned they will get too big and will either have to harvest them early, or give them away. The main issue to him is so that they wont get too big. If it is not possible to flower them early. If not he can let them go full season if kept under roughly 3 1/2 feet (cannot be larger). Is there ANY way to do that. The indicas would be doable, but the satori's... well, that's a whole nother plant all together practically. Through LST, it could be done right? He really doesn't want to lose these and any help would be appreciated by him.

He could also cut them down every month or so until flowering to keep them short. Alternatively, he could move them into a dark room for a few hours a day...

do you mean just cut them in half or what? wouldnt that just cause more side shoots to pop out?

ok you said he cant do it inside
but then you said he cant get them taller than 3 1/2 feet, why cant he have them taller than that if he cant do it inside?

if they are outside he shouldnt care about the height

if your saying he only has 3 1/2 feet of height thats fine for LST/SCROG

i'd say keep em indoor, do LST / SCROG

or

just put them outside now or whatever...

I have had Original Haze that was almost like acid, unexperienced smokers would white-out or pass-out, or throw up after a toke or two... Oh, and it was Euphoric to say the least.
