I had visitors today

i had the tax assessors at the place today and not that i think they noticed anything but it does make you wonder. i would think that these people get training in spotting anything that has to do with growing but can't be positive.
anybody have info about the tax people?
i didn't let them into the building, they just walked the outside and took measurments and looked at the progress of the work being done in general.
the phone number they have for me is my cell and when they called (from the end of my 600' driveway) i told them i wasn't home and ok'd them to do an outside inspection. ventilation was shutdown before they got out of the car so i doubt they smelled anything. i'm not really worried or panicky but it definately makes you think. i don't have hardly anyone here ever, so it's just not a feeling that have on a regular basis.
thoughts and comments anyone?

Do you? Around here they are just concerned with square footage. They don't care whats inside at all and base the assesment on the neighborhood and the square footage of the dwelling. I've seen them do many, many and have NEVER been asked to let them inside.

Have they ever asked to be let in before? Could be different in your area though.

For a property tax assessment? Now if you have building permits and construction going on then yes, at sometime you will have company inside, code inspector. Tax assessments are done on a drive by in our town. Each town is different though so you may want to call and play dumb with the tax office. Ask if you will need to be home to let them in to finish their assessment or if they got what they needed from the outside. Then you will know what to plan for. Good luck with it. Never volunteer info, yes/no questions get yes/no answers. Now if only I could get my wife to understand this. Peace and stay safe, tell no one and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Some Guy and 2Buds are both right on.... an assessment or appraisal are usually done without ever entering the unit... they'll take sq footage and use other dynamics to determine.... but if it's anything that has to do with inspectors or permits, or any regulatory procedure be ready to let them in.....

nope, not here. they wanna see if you have tile versus vinyl or hardwood versus carpet and on and on. they tax you higher based on the quality of materials.
this is a new building but we don't have inspectors checkin plumbing or wiring or building codes for that matter. it be perty darn rural.
and 2buds, i hear ya on the wife thing. i use to deal with that but thats the reason i'm building new and have no visitors. lol

Remember then, keep your dick out of the grow. Get'em high, get laid, get'em back home. Trust no one no matter how good and tight she is.
