second pot farm bust in a week
Heroin, pot, LSD seized in suburban raids
Tribune staff reports Published March 18, 2007, 3:55 PM CDT The investigation into $2 million worth of marijuana found in Northfield Township home on Friday has led to the seizure of three times that amount of the drug at a south suburban home, Cook County Sheriff's police announced this morning. In the later case, authorities found marijuana that was in the growing and harvesting stages, said Cook County sheriff's police spokeswoman. One man has been charged with a Class X drug felony in connection with both cases, Mateck said. More information on the investigation and charges will be released during a noon press conference today at Cook County Sheriff's Police Headquarters in Maybrook, she said. On Friday, sheriff officers and the Highland Park Police Department executed a search warrant at a home in the 1800 block of Holly Road and found $2 million in marijuana. The drugs were being grown in two bedrooms filled with dozens of plants as high as 4 feet tall, officials said. More than 95 pounds of marijuana ready for sale was found in plastic bins in the living room and attic, they said. The pot was hydroponic marijuana, a more potent and expensive type of the drug, said officials, who also found 300 hits of LSD and five grams of heroin. Two men were taken into custody. The men had rented the home in the "upscale neighborhood" for more than eight months, according to a news release. -------- saw this on this news this evening.these guys had it going on...dwc...all the bells and whistels.nice looking plants... they stated that they expect more arrests in the weeks to come...sounds like there turning into rats now...shitty.. |

thats ridiculous,
if you watch the video, at the conference they have all the plants and the equipment and the stuff that was apparantlly drying. If you look closing some of those bins have nothing but stems, and weigh it with all the leaf materil and all of the stems. What the fuck the 3 million dallor bust is really more like 100,000-200,000 dollar bust. anyone know how many plants they actually had? Seemed like a lot. |

just saw another video, they had 48 plants, in the larger house.
Scary thing is, for them, it looks like they are really trying to screw these two over. They say they also recovered 95 pounds in bins ready to go out. Im no expert, but maybe someone here that actually knows anything about this kind of stuff could tell me how its possible to grow 95 pounds from 48 or so plants (ranging 2-4 ft). must be the the hydroponics.

it does look hempish...
class x is nothing to laugh at in this state.many, many years...and the acid probaly didnt help.in fact probaly made it a class x. im just kinda freaked out.i mean what if there like i got my start off these boards(icmag,og,cw).and the seeds were from overseas from this addy. you think they(dea) might crack down in this region.? i remember a few years ago the same station had an investigative reporter order dank from holland....some kinda medical sight.i use to get there menu every month(via e-mail) but never ordered. sure enough she got what she ordered.this skank calls the man,and they interview this jack-ass..face blacked out, stroke for the dea...anyways he's gung-ho about stopping this. about 2 months later i send an order in for a g$ worth of stock...Bahm...got that ugly green customs tape(but the resend made it:wink man my world came to a sudden stop, but nothing happened.see above....anyways...does this make sense.. or do i think to much...? |
