Estimate height/yield?
Hello,
Could you please estimate my yield and plant height? Light: 150 w hps Medium: Soil No CO2, Canna Nutrients So far the plants are 18 days old, they had a rough start - some stretch at the beginning due to insufficient lighting. They are 4" tall, 3" of this is stretch, Only on their 2nd tier. I just transplanted them to 2 gallon containers to bury most of the stretched stem and they have responded well. If I switch them to 12/12 flowering right now, about how tell do you think they will end up? And how much yield approx per plant? The last grow I vegged a little too long and ended up with 4 footers when I wanted 2 footers...I just want to make sure that will not happen again. And, For my next grow I'd like to keep a couple mother plants and take clones. If I take a clone and put it directly into 12/12 flowering, how tall would it end up being and how much yield would you say? Last edited by rainAgI4; 03-16-2007 at 07:00 AM.. |

Oh man. First of all it is not wise to take a cutting, stick it in some soil and then try and flower it. Too much stress too fast. You need to let it root. As far as your yielding question it is really hard to say, and depends on so many things. If I were to guess it would be a half ounce per plant give or take depending. If I were you I would upgrade to a 250 where you can pull .75-1+ ounce per plant.
Scrogging and LST all play factors. You mentioned nothin of strain, how long you've been growing an what your previous yields were, it is really hard to be accurate on these things, there is a ICmag user who guesses my yields always comming within 5 grams or so...forgot his name, has a bat with red eyes for his avatar though/ |

yeah i'd say a half per plant as well, that was my guess, i was just tryin to see if any1 has done this before
as far as the clones go... i was under the impression that is how a lot of commercial growers do it... just put clones into flowering after being rooted... and they end up with a 1.5 to 2 footer that yields 1 oz. LST was my original plan and probly stickin to it A friend of mine used a 150 watt for 1 plant, it was 3 feet tall i believe... he got 3 oz... so it is possible to get a decent yield with a 150 watt |
