A buddy of mine, whom I bought my grow equipment from just got his grow busted. A neighbor spotted someone trying to break into his house and called the cops. They responded to his house found the front door open and went inside to investigate the burglary and found his grow (130+ plants, all very young). Although I don’t really think this guy would rat me out, he is kinda flakey and it spooked me enough to harvest my grow a bit early and tear down my room and pack it up. It was my first grow and I ended up pulling 8.5 oz outta 3 plants I had under a 600w & 400w lights. Now I’m sitting here with 2 boxes full of grow equipment and 8.5 oz of bud plus another 3 to 4 oz of trimmings that I need to stash some where safe. I don’t know anyone in the area I can trust with it. I was thinking about renting a storage unit and keeping it all in there.
I do have a ex roommate who keeps an old car here at the apartment parking lot. I could put the stuff in his car, but I worried that the heat build up would not be good for the bud. Also if the cops were to search my apartment, could they also search my friend’s car that parked in the driveway?
Another question, I’m hot to get another grow going. The first was with bagseed and I want to get a good strain going this time. How long should I wait for my friend’s situation to cool off before it’s safe to put the room back up? It may be months before he goes to trial and I don’t want to wait that long. So whatta you guys think?

Wait till his trial is over and on probation?
Stash in my friends car?
Rent a storage unit?
Quit being so paranoid and set the room back up?

Pack it all into the trunk of your buddy's car and hide the keys.
If they search it there's no evidence as to whose it is. Also your only speculating something is going to happen so chill you've covered your ass for the time being and lay low for a couple of weeks. By then if something was going to happen it would have by then.

Your buddy could face federal charges,thats a different story I wouldn't grow weed in that house again.

Hi Riverrat,
I wouldn't grow in that house again either. I would wait to grow again until his sentencing to see if it's an appropriate sentence. Since he is your friend you should be able to find out all the info on the trial.

Are you talking about the over 100 plants? I look on the norml site and under federal it does not say anything about numbers. I am not saying you are wrong just wanted to clear this up. I dont or will never grow that many plants so it does not mater in my case.

I would put it in the car also. If nothing happen in the next few weeks like said above then i bet you will be ok. I would not grow in that house again. So you should just try to move and set the grow back up.

No matter what ....now that the house is clean make sure you tell your shakey friend that your done for good..its easier to buy it....you learned your lesson from him...blah blah blah...if he knew about your grow...show him the empty space while spouting all the i will never grow again bullshit...IF he was or is considering flipping on you....you will be off the list when he sees its gone.......grow again when hes gone.......

purple wreck anything over 99 plants can become federal jurisdiuction,if they care to.Norml sire is full of outdated stuff anyway,believe me there's no question on this one.100 plants or more in the U.S could bring federal charges,that doesnt mean they will prosecute it means they can.

Odds are the cops cant just raid you/search warrant based on what he says about you anyway. If your other security measures are in place, which they damn well better be now, they wouldnt get enough info on you for a search anyway. This is provided you and your busted buddy live in separate places and all that.

Thanks for the advice; I'm feeling better about the situation now. The rooms packed up and secure. This guys supposed to have a good lawyer and I can’t imagine he would advise his client to roll over on a friends 3 plant grow. Turning in someone with 3 plants is not going to buy you anything when you’re facing charges on 130+ plants.
After all the guys never seen my grow, has never been to my apartment and does not know my address. I'll likely set the room back up in a few weeks. I just got some Blueberry seeds and I'm hot to get them going.

This might not be the correct forum, but if anyone has experience with this strain, I like to hear any tips you might have. This will only be my second grow.
