Hello,
Could you please explain how to select non hermies from a clone only hermaphroditic strain? I have a nice one that I'd like to eliminate the hermaphrodism from.

You mean Jason's record from 3 years ago? Since then a lot of TW has been grown and tested. And selected!

erm .... I would say that if it is clone only ...then you have the hemaphroditic (sp) trait in that clone and no way to remove it without crossing it out and then selecting from the offspring the ones which dont show tendencies ... but I think you'll lose most of the original plant seeing as the less hemaphrodite traits the less of the clone only strain present?

but that a guess ... : )

So you are sure that TW is totally clone only and not available to anyone in seed form?

A man by the name of Berserker or 'e' might not agree with you there..Dr Jay also had original TW lines in seed form, so have a few others. The 'Arcata' cut is simply a selection from these seed lines and was initially handed out from the same folks.

Like HHF said, there are clone onlys and seeds of TW, smoked a few different ones but the clone-only plant that looks like crap (arcata?) and tastes and hits like heaven is the one I think as being TW because the seedplants werent that special, the samples I had, most of them, were grown near Bolinas, outdoors, and the clone plants did pop a lot of nanners the old german guy said...had a lot of seeds but just one fine plant of them but the customs took the damn plant before sexing...daaaamn....

and yeah, the one they have in Amsterdam is bullshit, tried it in Amnesia and it was sad...

FJ- I have not seen any representations of any trainwreck seed that were elite or even close, maybe you could direct me I'm having trouble finding those threads. So these feminized trainwreck seeds will be from original trainwreck seedstock not from the arcata cut ? That makes sense. sort of like selling feminized cheese but using skunk#1 seeds to select from, not the cheese cut.

Yes yes that Arcata is the FIRE!

Have not seen/smoked anything close with the name Tw...
But thats just my opinion...I'm SURE others think differently,they just have not tried the real deal!

So it's understandable,I guess....

Crazy how the true conniseur(sp) cuttings all have some glitch...Does make them a bitch to knockoff...I guess thats the ONLY plus...
If you want the real deal then make some friends and get it!

Hmmm, the Arcata cut was a selection from a relatively small number of seeds, as i understand it, from 'e', i am sure in larger numbers there would be superior plants. Shame there is not more of the pure seeds in circulation, as im sure that genepool has a lot more potential.

Also i have managed many a grow without hermies in the cut, although it will hermie if taken long or if it has any stress at all. E appears to manage to grow it without herming too, others too. I personally dont think it is fact it hermies, but is fact its prone to do so, and there are many selfed lines around in clone form as the origional cut.

In larger germinations of STS S1 seeds from the Arcata clone we have found plants that are superior in quality of high. They are rare but there. This is my opinion of course.
