mazar from dutch passion. 100% fmcd. most people complain though cause they think its oil. most of the aussie crowd prefer the old school stuff that catches fire and they can crumble into joints .has to be kept on foil in the freezer. extreme potency, has made plenty of people green out.

The title of this thread cracks me up. any strain can make full melt of you take only crystal heads and not plant matter. I have made full melt bubble with brick shwag.

ya i kinda feel the same way...i mean with chemicals don't all strains get pure enough for full melt clear domes? so by that reasoning the strain wouldn't have anything to do with how pure you can get it, unless maybe different strains have ever so slightly different sized tricomes, some maybe ideal sized to help them sift perfectly into the right bag...

by that reasoning any strain would be full melt if the person could match the exact right micron number to the strains average trichome head. since there are only a few bag sizes out there only certain strains might separate with bubble bags to highest purity...after all anybody that has grown different strains knows that different strains have vastly different sized trichome heads, they aren't all exactly 73 microns or whatever...

but the original thread "people" and their "company" that is apparently not a company but a small, arbitrary list... makes it seem like only certain strains make the purest hash, when in reality all strains can make the purest hash, if you use methods other than bubble bags to extract it...i've thought about buying the bags but it just seems like it would waste so much, compared to butane pulls...which can be as pure or purer than the best bubble hash...imo

the strongest stuff you can make is fully decarbed vacuumed purged BHO. There is something about good bubble hash that I still like more. What I really like to do is use kif i got with a 120 micron screen and mix it with the good oil, and make a jelly hash substance that is easy to handle yet gets me super baked on different spectrum.

You can get industrial filter bags in any size micron pretty much and silkscreen off-cuts in any micron. Just use your noggins. It is almost ALL in the filtering. If you are running good genetics that is, which plays a part but most modern hybrids would melt..

I have a new method and all the strains I have run through it have produced a full melt grade with varied yield of such. The plant material inspected after under loupe is uniformly gleamed of gland heads with just all the clear gland stalks standing at attention left behind. The proportion full melt to rest (which was golden and clean also) varied from about 20/80% to 60/40% with about total yields varying from 13-16% to 18-23% for trim and bud respectively. I've settled on 220/177/160 um prefilters and collecting at 100 and 43 and keeping the 160 prefilter also for joints. I extensively experimented first with what worked with every size japanese silkscreen I could get with very accurate micron sizes. Most of the time the first 2 or 3 runs will collect translucent full melt in the 100 and also in the first runs' 43. Sometimes the first runs' 43 will not be the grade of FM. I tend to enjoy separating 3 grades. First will melt if you look at it wrong. Second is just a shade off first and third would come from last 2 runs generally and machine washouts and is great for spliffs and very tasty. Last run or 2, I just prefilter and collect at 43 as FM or firsts is already out. The firsts would wee on half the entries I saw on the cannabis cup video this year, even the second, it is that good and it is the process and not me completely. Paint mixers and such are obsolete for hash making haha.. Also chlorine destroys aromatic compounds, and makes them more water soluble, and the terpenes give the melt so it goes with out saying, if you want more FM or FM at all, ditch the tap water and go collect water from a spring or collect rainwater for the work!

Ever tried 'sushi rolls'. Lay a bed of FM flat and sprinkle a line of kief, little balls of moroccan, varied grades and types of other hashes -go mad, lay a 'wasabi' line of oil and another ' mayo' line of another. Roll it up and slice off slices like a lookin swiss roll or sushi roll. Vape, place on a bowl or nail and rip that MOFO!!

Anyway back to the topic... genetics..

The best hash strain I have run for FM is the Uk cheese cutting..
Next is Big buddha Blue cheese. Surprise haha
Also anything I have done with a lot of thai in it also melts if you just look at it wrong! Blueberry and progeny, chocolope and progeny, trainwreck, thai leaning hazes..
Anything with a lot of kush and or afgan in it too. My LA confidential also makes amazing FMelt.
