Lady bugs..Good or bad to control pests?? - Soma Seeds - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

Hey guys..

Ive seen a pic.in soma´s site with some lady bugs...and i was wondering if they help control other pests,or is it just a pic with ladybugs destroying a crop..
If they help to control pests can anyone inform me or give me a link so i can read about it..

Lady bugs are known to eat other bugs, not plants.

One concern though, when the plants are in flower, the ladybugs will just get stuck and die cause it is too sticky for them to move...

Silverhaze... I don't know where you are located but you definitely need to check out the website of Green Coast Hydroponics @ WWW.gchydro.com Click on the ladybug at the top right of the screen and then click to read all their info on their Ladybugs and various other beneficial predator bugs. They are a very reliable company, they ship efficiently and they are very nice and are in Santa Barbara which is also really nice. The price of ladybugs is fair and is definetely worth it to avoid pests. The only thing is, I am just trying them for the first time so we need to ask Soma or green coast for more info. I am wondering myself if they are as good as predator mites against spider mites. Also my friend just told me yesterday that soma used to use them even more, before he began relying mainly on the neem oil. I have good 100% cold pressed neem oil but I would like to see if I can use only ladybugs and keep the plants from getting too greasy (or, getting them thc greasy not neem greasy that is). The same friends also told me there is another company that sells the ladybugs in New Hampshire, but I will have to do more research about that.

yeah i noticed that...i released about 70 in my room the next morning they were dead ohh well maybe next time
