Just another Hashberry grow...

Started ten all germinated on wet tissue and transferred to peat/coir seed mix.
I can honestly say they are the most vigorous seeds i have had in years and the expensive dutch passion germed at the same time look like shit in comparison.

Two distinct phenos as expected and cant wait to get them in flower , slightly odd fruit ish smell already on the rougth leaves and a short internode and lots of sideshoots already.

Pictures are day 20 from root breaking seed , the dutch passion is on day 25.

The girls are going into peat/coir mix in 15 litre pots in a fast grow and will reveg the best at the end.
Still hopeing to do a seed run on some bog stuff and really after a good mother for the autumn along withgrowing for smoke it means squeezing too many plants in to get the best from them this time.

Would assume no problems revegging anyone tried yet ?

Sweet . . . I planted 3, ended up with 2 ladies. One (a triploid branching pheno) smells nice & skunky. The other seems a bit more vigorous and has that distinct berry smell.

Mine R almost 30 days into flowering, another 30 to go!! weeeeee

Hi foomar (is that from "fumar" in spanish...just guessing ),
You can reveg the cream of the crop but don't wait till the girls are exhausted. Harvest earlier to catch some of the vigour for best results. I think Mr.Postman did a section on revegging - although I'm not sure if that was a Hashberry or another strain. But anyway we have our own experience in this field. Taking a clone from the revegged plant is even better because it has it's own fresh and new root system.
They are looking nice n healthy. Keep up the good work.

sprout: happy to read your Sadhu's saved the day and grow.
That's a very nice smoke. ;-)

Thanks for the advice on revegging , find some strains dont like it but they tend to be less vigorous strains so HB should be easy.
Just after i took the pictures i decided to kill the fungus gnats i found by drenching the roots in a solution of Rotenone based insecticide which i have used with no problems before.

Unfortunately i was stoned by now and gave them ten times the usual dose with lethal results.
24 hours later and 60+ plants from 5 days to 40 days , seed and clone , are all dead or or nearly gone apart from some mother plants in much larger pots.

Flushed and repotted , the Hashberry plants have lost all existing leaves but the new growth seems good and its made them show sex almost overnight.

Nine out of ten survived and not seen a fly since so not a total loss.

One month on and all recovered well , none of any other strain survived so its a tougth mother.
Five fems now in flower and looking good and very bushy due to the damage caused earlier.

Which leaves me with four very healthy male plants with outstanding vigour and was considering useing one as a father in some closet pollen chucking experiments.
Problem is they are widely different but all good in different respects so will pot them on and take advice when i get some pics up , assumeing the male side of hashberry is going to reward the time invested.
