[CannabutterQ] Temperature of the butter
Hello,
Each time I make cannabutter I either end up getting the mixture too hot or it doesn't cook long enough. I am going to get a candy thermometer to evaluate temps. In order to sucessfully cook the butter into the weed I must know precisely what temperature THC evaps at. Does anyone know what temp thc evaporates? |

180 - 200° C (356° - 392° F)
Don't let the water boil and you'll be ok waters boils @100°C or 212°F)

I haven't made mine yet, but I've done lots of reading. I read you need a very slow boil, try and get a very slow boil on a medium heat and try and keep it medium-low but dont let it boil much.

right boil @ 100 degrees C but if the boils starts to get vigorous your getting hot. If you have a can therm then just keep it under 180 degrees C and your golden.

 i made some last week and it was bloody tops! about 2 hours after eating it i had the sweats!!

Do you have to use water? Can't you just warm up butter, add ground cannabis, and simmer for 20 min on low heat?
