yup CC knows

i spray my plants with neem oil, and i spray the soil. i put couple drops of pure neem oil on top of the soil. and then spray some more on soil. work for me very well.
next time make sure you use dif soil mix. dont use the soil from outside if you do indoor. you will get all kinds of bugs.

peace

Have you thought about perlite for a soil grow? Cheap and works very easily. Just layer enough on top so adults cant reach the soil and larva cant reach the air.

Thumbs up 1 Teaspoon (5 ml.)

to a Quart (liter) of water ought to do the trick for ya' as a soil drench. Apply weekly as need be.

A couple few drops of dish-soap will help emulsify the oil into solution. Don't use detergents labeled as "antibacterial", they contain the chemical "triclosan" which will basically terminate the biological activity in your soil (given a high enough concentration/ buildup). I use a brand of your basic plain ol' liquid dishsoap called "Joy" for such purposes.

Insects ingesting neem oil take about 3-14 days to die, so there is no immediate result after treatment.
The great benefit is the prevention of future generations of insects.
It is said to be fairly specific in attacking insects with piercing or rasping mouthparts.
Unless beneficial insects like spiders, lady beetles, certain wasps, etc. come indirect contact with spray, it does little to diminish their numbers.

Safer Insecticidal Soap

Is very good stuff, I spray them together outside on my vegetable garden. Good organic/natural style product. If ones has safers handy, it will work well also.
Many crops have been brought in by many gardeners using safer soap exclusively, at least till they find out about the safety and effectiveness of Neem. ...

Thousands of soaps are manufactured from hundreds of different fatty acids and a variety of inorganic bases.

However, only a few of these soaps are effective insecticides.
Insecticidal soaps available are made from potassium salt of oleic acid which is present in high quantities in olive and other vegetable oils.

Insecticidal soap physically disrupts the insect's outer protective layer (cuticle/exoskeleton) and causes the insect to dehydrate.

Now that is what we call justice to those insects that are sucking the sap out of our plants!!!

"DIE YOU LITTLE SUCKERS!" is the Official Battle Cry when using these products.
