thanks for stopping by. updates with pics tomorrow - the lights are off right now. the NL9 are pretty bushy (b/c i topped 'em a while back) and bud sites are just starting to form.
Info that I have read on Northern Light as a strain has never mentioned anything about a #9 (just a 5 and 1). Or maybe I am just getting the story mixed up? The beans are quality bean in my opinion. Uniform, vigorous growth, and starting to stink a bit (not as much as the CJ but i think that should be expected). are you planning on growing yours soon? take it easy... |

Hi there
I grew NL#9 about 5years ago. Sorry don't have any photo. They were very vigorous, but only 2 fems out of 10 seeds. One had wonderful mango like smell that my wife loved and strong knock out stone. And the other was nothing but smell no high. I remember NL#9 was composed of Jack Herrer and Durban? Sagarmatha revised NL#9 few years back? I should get and grow them sometime. I still remember the fresh fruit taste of my NL#9. Jo |

Thanks for the info Boogaloo Jo. If anyone out there has anymore info please share with us. I know Sagarmatha responds to post every now and then. I'd just like to state that I appreciate the fact that the breeder packs are completely sealed so you know what you are getting. Thanks for breeding Sag
. Hope you get through these rough times. Here is one at day 36 flower. Two very similar squat phenos that are thriving. One tall pheno that I is turning yellow because of overferting/pH I think?? I will be watering with distilled water tomorrow. One of the short ones has the nicest lemon sweet citrus smell going on. I'll try and describe it more as things progress. Short pheno: |

It looks like there was hardly no stretch eh?? Is that lemon smell... a strong nose?? or is it kinda changin from week to week... do they all smell similar... they sure look alike, which I consider a good sign of breeding. CJ-Casey Jones? My understanding is NL started out in Seattle Wa. The guy named several plants NL1 2 3 etc... 5 and 7 or maybe 1 I don't remember, were the best... Nevil brought some clones back to Holland of the cuts... Thats the story I am aware of for the Northern Lights. Keep the pix a commin... Maybe someone could help me out here too. The taller NL plant is yellowing, any suggestions?
Keep me updated if you start them up bergerbuddy. Lets see if I can lure Boogaloo Jo out with a few more pics. Two are identical. One is stretchier. Taller, Yellowing NL: Together: Short: Short vs Tall I might try and pick up another pack of these beans before they disappear forever. Then again I might try and pick up a few Sag's beans as soon as monetarily (very proud of spell check for having that word included) possible. |

Well confused.. that yellow plant..and the rest of em.. look pretty good actually... do u give a pure ph balanced watering once in a while?? It looks pretty nice and bigger, maybe she is just eatin a bit more..hence runnin a bit low on NPK...???
I don't think I would worry much about it.. and keep fertilizing as per ur schedule I have some Hawaiian Snows and C-4 and Ed Superbud and LUI and Skunk1 going now so it will be awhile b4 I pop anything... I have my HS grow over in the greenhouse thread, I got the seeds to do a test grow.. I am REALLY interested in seeing how ur plants end up and what u think of the final product yeild and such.. which is why I pepped back in here however I have subscribed the thread now so as long as ya keep throwin in some pix and comments I will TOO :=} Peace BB Last edited by bergerbuddy; 03-22-2007 at 12:30 PM.. |
