I enabled a Grande Mocha Java, the "side effects" were gettin all hepped up and peein a lot!
I only see this as a security risk if they test the aforementioned pee(need OG's :foil: smilie)
Oh yeah, I'm self employed, no pee tests, never mind.

Scanned my hard drive yesterday and found 30 infected files.....guess where?........yep, JAVA. Needless to say it was uninstalled immediately. Here's what was found.

Java/ByteVerify

This virus abuses the security vulnerability in Java Virtual Machine described in MS03-011, which gives posibility of runing potentially dangerous operation to java program (like working with files).

Trojan horse using this vulnerability changes Internet Explorer Home page.

The fix is available on Microsoft web pages like WindowsUpdate.Microsoft.com

I had no symptoms....probably because I never used java. It was there nonetheless.

Very interesting Elvis, for more info on what can be gathered for using Java visit this site and you’ll see a few thing that mite make you think twice.
https://www.leader.ru/secure/who.html

try it with Java and then without, and then you’ll see the deferent’s!!

Oh and btw, in order to take advantage of the vb scripts here at IC you only need to enable “Java Scrip” not “Java it’s self”.

If your browser doesn’t support “Java Scrip” & “Java it’s self, separately” then you mite want to try a different browser like “Mozilla Firefox” this is what I use so I know that it works. Here is a link for that, it is free!! https://www.download.com/Mozilla-Fire...2.html?tag=pop

Ps…….I also use other software to identify if a website is spoofing me when these functions are enabled and I must say that IC stands out among the rest, I feel completely safe on this website and would recommend to any one that this is the place to be, the high quality and stander of the owner and staff that run IC are impeccable, but standard precaution is just a given in this business, things like “proxy & java” and PC/Browser/Website Security should be taken seriously.

Thanks bro, but I already use Firefox and my scripts are enabled. I'll stay away from Java itself though.

Here is a good place to check out any and all open ports on your pc: https://grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2

This will test all your ports for security vulnerabilitys. In other words you can't get robbed if the hackers can't get in.
