Smile Trouble ahead, you know trouble behind... (Casey Jones)

H3ad Seed's Casey Jones

"Oriental Express mother (trainwreck x thai by billygoat seeds) crossed with ECSD v3 fathers"

So Far:

- 5/5 germinated -> only 4 were used (still have 7 beans to use in the future)

- The soil mix is one bag of FF: Ocean Mix, one bag of FF: light warrior, and one brick of coco coir.

- Six out of the total 8 plants (there are also 4 of SAG's NL9) were started in 3 gallon containers, and will finish in them . The remaining two were started in 1 gallon containers, and will be moved into the 3 gallon containers pretty soon.

- They are under a 400w HPS w/ a 6in Vortex and a 40lb carbon scrubber.

Incoming Airflow -> SCRUBBER -> COOL HOOD -> VORTEX -> Exhaust out

- The selection of nutes: FF grow big, FF bloom (the more mild one), Bio-somethin' bloom, Liquid Karma, Nitrozome, and Cal-Mag. ***They were not fed anything up until the ~20th day of veg, and very small doses of bloom as of yet.

- Once the plants got big enough, 1 3/4 inches of the main growth shoot were cut from all the plants and placed in a self-constructed (ghetto) bubbler. None of the NL9 clones survived (powder mildew?/newb), but all of the CJ clones SURVIVED. Roots showed after about 6 days.

- Switched to 12/12 around a week ago, so they are now showing sex. So far 1 confirmed CJ female and 2 confirmed CJ males - leaving one up in the air.

This old engine makes it on time, Leaves Central Station 'bout a quarter to nine...

These:

were won in an auction on seedbay.

Then they were planted. Day 10:

Are you ready for some bad photography? They are in the same order as the previous picture. Day 20:

They were topped right after the picture from day 20, vegged for another 9 days and switched into flowering on day 29. CJ is top row. Second picture is a side view of CJ. Day 30:

Right before they started to show sex. Top view of the 4 CJ's. Day 37

Hits River Junction at seventeen to,

...At a quarter to ten you know it's drivin again.

See ya'll later. Updates at the pace that nature allows. At least you didn't have to sit and wait through a month of veg, now did ya?

Good luck Confused with your grow. I have no doubt your going to be in for a killer ride with both strains. Been meaning to try the NL#9 myself. Both strains should do very well for you. From all the other CJ threads. Your in for a awesome treat.
Take care,
BG

BG - The luck is definitely needed.

scrappy - The line up is pretty solid. Casey was my first choice, and NL9 seemed like it would keep her in good company.

H3ad - Thanks for making these beans. LMK if you want this thread out of your homebase. The outside world here at IC just seems a little hectic.

thorodee - Is it "the roadie" or "thor odee" or just "thorodee"? Can't put that name together. Thank you for stopping by though.

* Pulled a NL9 male today. Down to 5 plants. 1 CJ confirmed female. 2 NL9 confirmed females. The CJ in question seems to be a female, but will wait another day to pass judgment.

* Updates are going to slow down until things get interesting again (buds). What, you don't think that sexing plants is interesting?

Do you think the plants were vegged long enough? They spent two full days recovering from the topping, so it was maybe 28 days veg max.
