Thanks guys.. I feed em jus basic 3 part nutes, AN specifically.. cheap, easy, and effective, and very easy to manipulate.. I will be trying out PBP semi organic nutes soon.. I've tried organic ammendments before but i find they do more harm to the structure of my soil mix (less O2, harder to water, clumps up, doesn't dry out as fast) than good.. and with 2 weeks-15 days of plain tap water the bud is as tasty as any..
And I actualy prefer the taste of some weed without the 'earthyness' that organic or outdoor gives it.. But I do find the earthyness to go well with skunky or kushy stuff.. good ghanis and pakis go well with it too.. but I prefer most other strains chem grown.. i know that sounds funny.. but weed is a very personal thing, and everyone is very different.. So i plan to make the most out of it, and run the Bubbas and ghanis/pakis organic, and others chem.. Bubba is very close to DC scrappy, so it's not exactly easy to pick out Bubba phenos in veg.. flowering and smoking will give me a much better idea of what phenos are Bubba leaning.. Here's a quick update.. the 3 Bubba Chunk fems, after about 10 days or so in their 6" pots and under the 430w HPS.. I find it much more difficult to keep vegging plants looking perfect when under HPS.. MH and floro vegged plants are a breeze comparitively IME.. So one of these plants has been giving me a bit of grief as u can see by the couple leaves that are clawed over.. it's fine now and will grow out.. These plants have much more vigor than either of the parents.. easily. But they all retain alot of the DC/Bubb qualities in veg, like huge hollow stems, a dank earthy yummy odor, and deep green large fans.. the branching is quite typical of both plants.. I'm sure topping them would be fine.. actualy i think i may top 1 or 2 of them today.. Anyways, here they all, sorry for the dark pics, but u can get an idea.. #1: #2: #3: |

Well I see the laterals have shot out, they're gonna turn into power-bushes here soon! Especially with a topping!
![]() Chems? I don't know bout that, haven't had a side by side though.... How about organic outdoor ganis?....... Earth-smoke deluxe! Mmmmmm ![]() Why does HPS cause stress symptoms? Heat? Light spectrum? |

But, I have had my cuts grown by 2 seperate outdoor growers, one totaly organic, one with some chems.. I have sampled these cuts all side by side, and have also grown a couple of my cuts outdoors in jus castings, and some in chems.. inside i've tried a ton of dif methods.. For example, I prefer something like c99 grown in chem, properly flushed.. cause i find the pineapple/tropical goodness is much clearer and sweeter.. Grown outside or with organic the earthyness muddies it up for me.. same with a few others strains that are fruity.. I wrote out a long post in a dif forum the other day on the differences.. But again, it's not right or wrong, my way or the high way.. try them all and choose for yourself.. just don't assume one is better than the other cause all the old hippies say so.. lol Not that i'm saying that's why any of u guys grow organic.. like i said before, I'll likely end up growing all of my ghanis, kushes, and possibly skunks in organics, and the fruitier/sweeter strains in chems.. I've smoked my bud with many organic growers than couldn't tell the difference.. altho there are some that can.. but it must be said that most of my samples are the 1st time i've grown the strain, since i go thru so many new strains i only regrow my favorites.. and i've only had my favorites for a lil while now.. I've tried HPS for veg in a few dif situations, with dif wattages, and in dif setups.. But something to keep in mind is the orange light from HPS can make yer plants appear less healthy than they actualy are, but i check them with floro lights when i turn off the HPS.. It doesn't have anything to do with heat.. I think it's mostly spectrum related.. as i've ruled out every other factor.. it's not a big deal, vegging under HPS can still be done with no real problems.. but MH or floros are much better for veg IME.. HPS is best for veg when running commercial, and taller, faster stretching plants are more desirable.. like when u are doing 3-7 day veg on clones in a SOG situation.. Or if u jus want the tallest plant as fast as possible.. I've done a few comparos, and altho the HPS plants are taller, the MH/floro vegged plants have much more significant branching, and will out yeild the HPS plant overall.. Anywho, that's all kinda off topic ramblings.. Here's my breeding section with the 430w agrosun hood/bulb unit.. Right now it's full of Bubba, Bubba Chunks, and one Poison Chunk: |

Great info there. I have done both organic and chemical grows outside I personally can never taste the difference. But have found if growing with organics the critters tend to be much more likley to eat your plant. That's really interesting info about the chemicals making fruity strains better tasting. I wonder what it is that does this. And with everything on your plate I can't belive how good the plants always look.

hey folks.. just slapped the 3 Bubba Chunks in flower today, I suspect they should look finished in between about 45-55 days, but i'll likely let em go to at least 65 to get the trics to amber up....
i'd guess tho most peeps will take these at about 55-60 days, but us hardcore indica junkies will let em go a lil longer  |
