If you go to www.mandalaseeds.com you can check out his catalog. He has good descriptions of what his strains are about and usually lists what their possible medical usages are. Hope you find what you're looking for!

Washington, D.C. -- Scientists said Thursday that marijuana appears to promote the development of new brain cells in rats and have anti-anxiety and anti-depressant effects, a finding that could have an impact on the national debate over medical uses of the drug.
Marijuana appears "to be the only illicit drug whose capacity to produce increased ... neurons is positively correlated with its (anti-anxiety) and anti-depressant-like effects," Zhang and colleagues wrote in the November issue of the Journal of Clinical Investigation. The paper was posted online Thursday.

Marijuana comes from the leaves and flowers of cannabis sativa, the hemp plant. This plant grows wild, but is also cultivated over large areas of the globe. Hemp has a number of useful properties that have been known for as long as 8,000 years. The stems contain a strong fiber from which rope, paper and cloth are made. The fibers are of such good quality that they were once used to make bowstrings.

The hemp plant has been used in medicine for at least 3,000 years. Derivatives of the plant have been used to treat ills such as fever, rheumatism, and earache. The properties of the hemp plant that affect thought processes have also been recognized for a long time. Hemp has been used to treat hysteria, depression, and anxiety. However, the effects have proved unpredictable and vary greatly from patient to patient.

I can thoroughly recommend Kalichakra for its anti depresant qualities.
While I haven't been officially classed as depressed for many years now, even the strongest get throwbacks every now and then. Kalichakra did me proud with its clear uplifting highs. Definately elements of anti-anxiety and anti-depressant cleverly hidden in the high, which goes on for a long time.
Its not something that makes you think "i'm happy or sad" specifically, more that it lends your brain to forget about questioning itself in this way, which is very healthy. Of course coupled to the fact that its a banging weed to grow, makes it difficult to resist. here's my original smoke report:

I can personaly vouch for Kalichakras excellent bag appeal! Heavy on the trichs, a gorgeous color, and the smell? MMMM MMMM!, like a summers day, melons and grapefruits came through for me, with some wicked refresher tangyness.!

The high is frankly exceptional. Great day time smoke, very uplifting and fruity. although if you light up 1 too many you'd better be looking for the nearest sofa, with full munchie access! The sativa pheno is, in my opinion what you should be looking for. You will drop yield by going for this pheno, but the smoke is out of this world.

Hope this helps.

SM

Yo MM, i've just realised you used a shit load of my pictures in your gallery, glad to see I represented enough to make it into the Mandala hall of fame!

I have grown both Sadhu, and Hashberry, and have really found both provide peaceful, possitive vibes.. Maybe more so the Hashberry.

If you'd like to read a smoke report, or check out some pics of the plants I have journal right here in the mandala section.

SM how can I resist?? lol

My personal recommendation is Satori if you are also looking for a cerebral high. Kalichakra has received a great intro from SM...nothing much I can add.
White Satin is also a good candidate - more of a "giggly" upbeat high for plenty of laughs, and a good daytime smoke.

Basically, we breed for anti-anxiety and anti-depressive qualities in just about all our strains. But you get different nuances and combinations of effects of course between the Mandala strains.
