F13 what gives?
Just got some F13 and I'm really excited....looking at the few threads about it I'm having difficulty getting a sense of what she needs though. Light or medium feeder? Single cola or topped? Defining physical qualities of the keeper vanilla pheno? I'll experiment and such but just wanted some feedback from those in the know...THANKS

I would say top it. I didn't, and the plants were sparser than they needed to be. This was outdoors, though, so I'm not sure what you should do. I would say that they're medium feeders. I found that the keepers were the plants with the best sidebranching and leaves that were in the middle of the indica/sativa spectrum (compared with the other F-13 starts). I popped 5 seeds, 4 of them were female, and 2 of those were that pheno, so I'd say don't worry too much about finding them. Even the non-"Keepers" were still excellent plants. Oh, and if you're looking for the super clear sativa high in the description, just go with the plant with the most sativa leaf fingers.

Thanks alot SS. I've noticed BB tends to create pretty nice sidebranching, topping once usually requires alot of lower pruning, but I'll do that on the F13 also, better to cut off a few branches than not have enough.

The f13 is one of my favorites, wish I kept clones of it now gona wait till I get more seeds of this. Was way better than I thought. Actually better than diesels in my opinion, just different. Makes me want to try the flow out now to. She is able to take a good amount of ferts, just slow down on the N like any of them when going into flower. I havent had to add any N to her for about two weeks

F-13 seem to me the more stable and vigorous strains of Dj , hehe the sat influence
I found 4 promising looking females out of 10 kerns and one very nice male , 2 males showed strong mutations during veg and kept mutated in flowering as well 2 fems are just not blooming properly , but its like that with every Dj strains , you have to select wisely and you should take ya time ... Here are some pix Fruity smell/more indy looking Earthy vanilla smelling and way more sat I just love Dj´s stuff , no matter how mutated they are , there´s always a keeper , you just have to be patient have fun Fj

Cool FJ it's good to see different phenos. Most seem to say they find 2 keepers, with a few more females that are good. Nice u kept a male, that's what I'd do too. Agreed, it's worth the work, to find something of an elite in a pack of seeds is rare these days. So everyone agrees the vanilla is the sat? FJ Have you tested the final product of the indy?

No its the first pack i have done and we all here agreed to do a big run with about 10 packs to find a real outstanding one ... IMHO a single pack is not insurance for a keeper , no matter what gender

yes there is a higher chance too find a special pheno from 10 packs ...but it's also in relation with 'luck'
![]() the outstanding plant will grow from a specific seed that is (obviously) only in one pack. there is not a high chance but it can happen that a dude grows out 10 packs and is searching for the best ...while an other happy guy can get 2 fine phenos from a single pack
