NYCD Grow II with Ready-Gro
Ok, i finally got everything lined up and ready to go. This is going to be my first run of my NYCD keeper plant some of you have seen and been lucky enough to get some cuts from. Other, please don't ask for clones or cutting. I'm fresh out and only have four clones left in case a clones gives me some shit or dies. Ok, now that's out of the way. I'm testing a new produce called Ready-Gro. It seem to be a nice produce and I think it wil work out good for me. I normally use the grow rocks, but i've been getting very tired of cleaning them and they have been working my back pretty good. Plus, i got to store them and that takes up space. With this Ready-Gro, I can hold off to just before i'm ready to transplant clones into the Ebb-Flo and just go buy some at the Hydro store or have some shipped in before i need it. This was taken off a Hydro website
"READY-GRO™ is a specialized blend of perlite, coir fiber, PURE BLEND™ compost accelerator earthworm castings, agriminineral 72 silica clay, polymere hydro-crystals, and Rootshield Bio-fungicide. READY-GRO™ insures accelerated plant growth and crop nutrition, faster growth rates and higher yields with optimum air to water ratio to the plant’s roots. Increased oxygen to the root zone maximizes growth. READY-GRO™ is super charged with PURE BLEND™ Organic Compost Accelerator to help the plants assimilation of nutrients and water uptake, as well as increasing the metabolic rate of the plant. READY-GRO™ can be used in passive container gardens. Simply place pot on saucer pan filled with your choice of plant nutrient solution. For automated soilless hydrogardening applications grow right in bag or place in pots. Use with ebb and flow, top water drip or nutrient film technique. Feed multiple times daily without overwatering. READY-GRO™ is available in either a large bag (3 cu. ft.), or a small bag that perfectly fits the Auto-Pot pots (the large bag is equivalent to approximately 13 small bags). This is the same growing medium used in the Auto-Pot System." More to follow. |

Ok, here are some picture of this stuff and my setup. If anyone has any question, please ask.
Thanks The last picture the pots are floating. I don't know what i'm going to do about this, but once the plants get some weight. They should be fine and keep them down. |

Haha BG, floating plants... Does the water not penetrate the growth medium that well? Once there develop a rootsystem they should be fine.

I'll be along for the ride on this 1
would love to give this strain a go.Nice clean set up BG.I once tried just perlite and vermiculite alone as my medium and had same problem with floating pot's.I simply added a few marbles till plant's took off and there weight was enough.

bartender187 It's penetrating it, but i guess since the stuff is so dry, being new and all. I'll see in about 30 mins. My water cycle will be kicking on and i'll check them. If i got to, i'll poke some hole with a bambo stick. Once, the roots get going i don't think i'll have a problem. This stuff is suppose to be some really good stuff, but will see.
Teresa I think once they get alittle bit bigger they will be fine. If i got to, i'll add some grow rocks ontop of them. It should be a learning process for sure. I have a total of 32 NYCD clones in this setup and will be SOGGGing the hell out of them. I'm going to trim all lower branches off and let the main cola go. I'm gottern 18-24" long full cola's from this keeper. Watch and see, if nothing give me any problems. There will be cola's every where. ![]() Later and thanks for the nice words |

The anitffungal stuff coulld not help me max growth.. Ever thing should be great.. I really like what your doing...

Thanks, Why couldn't you max your grow? I'm lost on the issue, and I don't understand why you couldn't?
Sorry |

I think fuzzy is saying that the anti bacteria compounds mixed into the ready grow mix that it kills the good as well as the bad bacteria, I think.

So, why would they put that stuff in there, when they know people are going to use the PBP and all there other stuff? Why would they want it to kill the micro's? I'll see what this stuff can do and not. I know what my keeper can do and will see if there is any difference in the growth and budding. I hope it doens't fuck with my yield, because i'll be pissed for sure.
Thanks |
