Questions regarding Safari Mix
Hi,
I will be receiving the Safari Mix soon and wanted to ask, if possible, on what characteristics I might see in growth. My grow area will be 6.5 feet tall. Any estimate on potential stretch in flowering? Are these bastard seeds that came to be due to the wanton ways of their parents? Or are these hybrids you are working on and controlling, putting out in the mix to gauge their progress? Hope I don't come off out of line for asking, I was just wondering! |

Hey man, its a shame you didnt get any replys, I have no experience but will try and help
By reading www.mandalaseeds.com I see that the safari mix is a mix of indica and sativa hybrid seeds. With anywhere from 62 to 67 flowering days. So you will probably have a wide variety of growth patterns, you won't see much uniform in your crop. Some will be short and fat indicas, and some will be tall sativas. They say that these strains are bred the same way as mandala's other strains, So I would think these are actual strains they breed with their high quality breeding process known as 'deluxe seeds' Mandala is a honest company, they wouldnt sell bad seeds, or lie about it. I think the idea of the safari mix is cool however I kind of like knowing the name of what im growing...and knowing what to expect, etc. So if you're worried about what your plants will be like, I would suggest getting another strain that you like :-) have fun BUDdy |

The seeds in the mix are from our many experimental crosses that come about during the long process of breeding new strains for our catalogue. Basically when we breed for a strain we have a very strict list of traits that we are looking for in the end product. By the time we get what we are aiming at we have a lot of experimental crosses from the development phase. They are good crosses but they simply did not fit into the primary goal. These seeds are packed into the Safari Mix at an amazing bargain price.
I can't say what is in your pack because we can't keep records of what is in each mix, which vendor get's this or that shipment, and how the packs are distributed from there to customers. You should follow our basic instructions on when to switch to 12/12 in our online FAQ to control plant height. Mild forms of training also work very well if you have a taller sativa type plant.

Thank you for the replies. I keep hearing great things about Mandala seeds! Unfortunately, they were mailed out 1/30 but have not shown up. I'm not real optimistic at this point.
I have a Nirvana 4 pk. coming that I bought recently and will try Mandala (again) someday.
