It's gotta be made up. The only native (some say non-native) strain I know is known as "Dosanko" which grows on the northen island which has a short summer so it's a quick finishing indica that is not very potent. I think it is only a matter of time before somebody crosses it to make a quick finishing hybrid, but that goes againts your 75 day info. I say it's bullshit.

But...I have a hard time believing it as well. For one, even the plains in Japan have temperate climes (versus tropical/ sunny) relatively. The mountains are bound to be significantly colder. In that case, you'd have significantly short summers. Even then, assuming this so called "Ubeiki kush" is true, you ain't finding it in populated areas, I can guarantee you that! Almost all the time, you'll never find authentic exotic produce in the urban locales, thanks to criminilisation of mj. For example, in South India, most younger guys don't even have ANY idea on the native sativas of the highland ghats. Yes, the Western Ghats in India are highlands as well, but the southern parts of South Asia is far more tropical and/ sunny than Japan. And you should know that most native traditionally grown produce in Asia are becoming rarer by the day as the "supply side" of mj is now being increasingly undertaken by "businessmen" who are more interested in pushingfor maximum $$$ in as little time as possible. As a result, many tend to grow in a haphazard fashion (i.e. slash and burn) and seldom have any idea on what "quality" means. To come to the point directly, I'd seriously contemplate exploring those mountain ranges for a week plus. But I'd go on w/ a skeptical note w/ regards to the kush and more for the sake of exploring and giving myself an experience and a first hand trip report.

Before you go exploring make sure to get the names right. Sakiey is not a word that can be spelled using Japanese leters.

I checked, the spelling is wrong. It should be Sakai, it's outside Osaka. You've been given the bum around, there's nothing there.
