sensa soak - dilute or full strength?

Hi there,

Got some sensa soak recently to increase odds of female plants. Directions say to use it full strength... but so don't nute formulas. Any recommendations?

Also thinking of going organic (currently use the BC boost, grow, bloom, awesome blossom, and karma with great results). What's your favorite organic combo?

And finally, I've got a friend who's got cancer and would like to help her out, but with the distance, mail seems the only viable option. Is there any safe way to send an oz via the mail?

Thanks!

Thumbs up I'd follow directions with that particular product, imho.

As far as mailing, heres another thread that discusses that.

Exclamation

If directions say "use full strenght", then do so. I haven't use Sensa Soak myself, tough, so no first-hand knowledge.

As for the organic combo, I have been very pleased in Biobizz products. Biogrow, Biobloom (I've used these), maybe you should add Alg-A-mic and Top Max for the best results. Biogrow can be substituted with Fish-Mix.

Thanks Hemppo

Since I posted initially, I used sensa soak full strength on 6 Bogbubble seeds. They've all germed but it'll probably be another 4 weeks till I sex them. I'll report back then on the results.

I'll check out the biobizz products...

Peace and good vibes~

Sensa Soak update

Of the 6 bogbubbles I germed, 4 have turned up girls after their 2nd week in flower. Yay! The other 2 have still to show their sex. They didn't go into flower till this week due to space shortage in the garden...but I sense they'll be girls too. Call it women's intuition.

:p

I'll post the results when they show.

Happy growing!

Hi there Bazeado,

I used it full strength as well, and hear what you're saying. Good reminder not to expect 100% females each time. So far it seems the last 2 BBs are following the same trend as the first 4. No male indications at all. But we'll see fer sure in the next 2 weeks.

Wow, ya got some great beans there ready to soak. I've been thinking of trying some SAGE and MF, but saving my pennies for the new generation of A-11s from Rezdog.

I'd love to hear your results with sensa soak, so please do post back again.

Happy germin,
A*dame

Giberellic Acid

Giberelic Acid (GA)is the basis for sensa soak, I believe. I use GA for the same purpose. I have had only two male plants from three seeds grows this year of at least 30 seeds. One was a ww and the other was a swt #3. I soak in GA for 24 hours and wait for the tap root to emerge. Than I place in xrteme cubes and watch 'em grow.

Good Luck with the sensa soak. GA has a shelf life of years vs. months. You can get GA on the internet from a guy in Texas for $10. Enough to last ten years. smile.

GA

Giberellic Acid is a natural hormone found in all plants. Is is used as a pesticide as well as a geminating inhibitor. GA also has the ability to enhance a plants female hormones during germinaion.

GA is used in the same endeavors as sensa soak, although with a much longer shelf life.

I initially got some sensa soak, but went with GA instead. it is found in powder form as well as liquid form. However, the liquid form does not have a very long shelf life.

Just my observation from my research on the internet and other places. GA is a natural hormone, similar to sensa soak.

I mentioned GA as an alternative. It is cheaper and has a longer shelf life. Two factors for me that are always imoprtant

BTW, moon phases do impact plant germination and growth. Just like different moon phases effect us, as well. Nature. Plemty of books on the influences of moon phases on plants. I have a friend that only plants and germinates by the moon.
