Yep, count me amongst the ranks of those who switched. This is my attempt at getting the perpetual thing going. We'll see what happens.
I have more plants than what's pictured, just forgot a few when it was picture taking time. There's a SDxJC clone that didn't make it in here. a Skunkberry, going to be addin a Killer Queen in a couple weeks hopefully. The seedlings were started in promix. I hate that stuff. I ain't never had any luck with it. They were switched recently ( friday ) to coco and already look better. The TRC RenegadexTRC Karen were started in coco along with the some somatooth#2 ( showing them in annacs forum with some BIKO ) and they are by FAR the best plants I have running at the moment. Tricky figuring how much nutes to give em in coco and you're dealing with seedlings. Coco ain't soil, ya have to start MILD nutes almost immediately. Also, with seedlings and clones, I already figured out to cut back on waterings at first so they develop a root system. Nutes are CNS17 veg formula and I add a drop or two of superthrive once a week. Also going to be adding Hygrozyme soon. The seedlings are getting 1/4 strength nutes, clones that I feel are established are getting 1/2 strength. Anything in flower is getting 1/2 teaspoon GH Florabloom ( till the missus lets me spring for CNS17flower) and 1 teaspoon cal-mag to a gallon of water on a daily basis. I water till I get good run off.Trying to keep the ph at about 5.2 - 5.8 I'm still undecided as to if and when I should flush the ones in veg. Talked to one guy who said ya should do it periodically every couple of weeks or so, and talked to another guy who said he only flushes em when they go to flower and then again at finish. So I'll watch em and see if and when I think they need a flush. I added a good 30% perlite to the mix, I really wish I'd gone 50/50 now. Also, the big chunky perlite is WAY better than the regular perlite. Anyway, tag along and help me out here. It's a new medium for me, and I got LOTS to learn here. I'm trying to have something at every stage of development, so I'll be busier than a one legged man at an ass kicking contest ![]() H3ads g13xnycdxg13 masterskunkush arcata cut trainwreck clone mendo purps clone Lonestars LUI cut TRC Mary Jane clone jillybean orange pheno cut VBK seedlings (VBSxTRCKaren)purple pheno mother TRCRenegadexTRCKaren seedlings Texas Kids Texas Resin Mix seedlings see ya next week!! |

Lookin' good Old Peculiar
I'm using the CNS17 for veg (not bloom though) and I'm happy with it. Lookin' forward to seeing how this goes for you; and hearing your feedback on that stuff. I burned quite a few plants and a couple got locked out....so be careful with the baseline (CNS17) dose, for it is highly concentrated I just tossed the plant from my little test thread in bloom (so she's fed PBP hydro now)....lol she's right next to her mom....pretty sightgood luck with the grow...gonna lurk along ![]()

Well, nothing like starting a thread and having everyone ya know and a couple new friends as well show up to watch. Hope I don't let ya's down. All we need npw is Pig&PotFarmer and Texas Kid to show up and we got the start of a damn good party going on. Sit back and get comfy y'all, this gonna be a long show hopefully. Just found out I'm getting some more clones too.
-VT- > you ain't lieing brother.Still trying to figure out the dose for CNS17. Got a little leaf tip burn going on with these 2, Kushy Fruit and Master Skunkush, day 9 of 12/12. The MS is still in promix cause I still need to go to the hydro store, but she ain't complaining much. The seedlings especially I'm being VERY careful with. Some of em are just getting their 4th set of leaves and some are still lagging. Think my main problem is maybe watering to much still ( every other day and not too much either ) but I'll get her whupped.....I hope. Also, some of the seedlings and clones I just transplanted last friday already have roots growing out the bottom...swear I never seen nothing like coco for roots. Almost scared to add hygrozyme. Anyway, the pics, I'll post up the rest of em this weekend if they're photogenic enough. kushy fruit kushy fruit again masterskunkush master skunkush again don't know which plant this is....I was stoned and even worse so was the missus |

Hi oldpeculiar
your plants are looking beautiful. but they are slightly too dark green imo. you don't want to be maxed out with the nutes in coco. i always get best bud production when i keep them a bit lighter green. one or two old fan leaves can look like that, but the newer leaves should be a bit lighter. mind you some strains don't mind being fed high ec levels. also seems like you could have vegged her an extra day or two, specially considering the huge pot she is in. time will tell, she certainly seems to be a fast lady, she is well developed for 9 days of 12/12. |
