man i have happened to stumble on the JACKS PURPLE CLEANER pheno of Bog'z lifesaver, which i understand is something special... I have a big dilemma tho. we have to shut down this entire grow due to the fact that we are going to be GONE for three or four months once its done. SO, i want to keep a clone of this, and i have someone who could possibly take care of it for me, but it would have to be totally stealth and easy to move around.

hence, the above cooler idea. id gut the white liner to make more room inside, and then line it with that heavy aluminum tape for lightproofing and light reflecting. probably use a single small (prolly23w) CFL, an exhaust fan, 18/6 timer, and a single power cord that would not look AT ALL out of place coming out of a drink cooler! any thoughts, ideas.. ?

take about 20 clones. then put in ziplock bag half fileld with water then put them in the fridge they can sit there for months and root when ever you wish

Seriously? ...that's new to me but stella idea!!!! if this is true that changes alot of how I need to do things....what would be the longest you could keep some in the fridge? and would the need to be pretty big clones? would they be better to have some root growth already?..or better as an un-rooted clone?

I'm suddenly fascinated with this and not sure why I haven't heard of such a thing....I have re-rooted alo-vera from being in the fridge...but figured that was because it's a succulant ....things that make ya go hmmmm

i remember reading a tutorial about this on overgrow. its called keeping clones in stasis. you put them in there unrooted and average sized clones. i think the guy said their viable for up to 3 months.

hmmm.... unfortunately the fridge is a non-stealth location... with the portable cooler mom box i can have my sympathetic person here hide it from the non-sympathetic person (in various spots in garage for example if needed...)

Ive done this in the past but wouldnt suggest leaving them for more than 2-3 weeks. I left some for 4 weeks and they were no good. Rather than filling a bag you can wrap the cut end of the cutting with a small wet piece of paper towel. Place the cuttings in a baggie get all the air out a put it in the crisper or what ever your gonna use. Soaking cutting in water for a long period of time makes them soft and soggy. You wanna keep then stiff and crisp. I learned the hard way and lost some really nice stuff. GL

ok...that makes sense lifeless ...more like how they store at a florist...2-3 weeks sounds appropriate...I was thinkin 3 months was a stretch...but who knows...some strains are hearty
