Reclining Buddah
Hey there,
I am halfway through flowering a nice stinky Buddah and was just wondering if there are any particular traits i should be aware of? I am growing organically in coco under a 400hps... I am happy with her progress but just want this grow to be a good one as 2 previous were not so good... mainly due to ph issues but i now have a digi meter ![]() Also how do you think she would go crossed with a Durban posion? Cheers.

So her buds are great but the leaves not so... the bigger ones are pale yellow and uppermost yellow banding on them. I have studied many growfaqs to pinpoint the problems but i am not sure?.... also side buds and leaves are nice and healthy...
I think it it either a lack of Mg (but i have used epsom salts every 3rd feed) or not enough N... but i am in week 6 of flower and maybe not enough N is a good thang??? Anybody have a clue?

I feel, and see, that you are good Silver Surfer. If anything, maybe you could start with some early flushing of water with a perfect ph and if you really want them to be more perfectly green you could give them seaweed or alg-a-mic or something like that. I prefer a light tea of Guano kalong and bio-bloom for that stage myself. I think what you are seeing is good though... at least from the pictures. It looks like your buds are already starting to ripen because they have somany red hairs already. This is good and I feel it is the reason for your leaves turning color. The plants should naturally put all their energy into the ripening buds at the end as they die (unless you wanted to regenerate them or something hard like that). Anyway, from what i can see from your pic, your leaves are healthy, that is just what happens as the plant gets ripe. It is good. It means all the sugars are going into the plant to make resin. Some growers like to taper off the amount of water they give their plants at the end to facilitate this ripening/dying process and avoid mold. If you really want those leaves to stay healthy and green all the way through I think maybe some more pure clean water is your best bet. Remember that plants that size use alot of water as I am sure you are well aware.

oh... one other thing I also remembered/realized. Scince your leaves are perfect further down on the same plant, it could be possible that there is a hot spot from the light slightly yellowing the leaves. I have mostly only experienced this from 1000 watt lights but I have had it happen from a 400 with a hortilux when the plants were less than a foot away in a tight space. Anyway... you should be perfectly fine even if you just flush em.

Looks like yer gettin em dialed in.Good job! The yellowing is indeed radiant heat burn from the light bein a lil close,no big deal though...Take care,BC

I use coco just like soil, kinda...
Check out the grow in my sig and it explains how i do it... although i have adapted my current grow a bit. If you go to the coco forum you will find all you want. I have read that clones and seedlings will not start off well in coco full stop. I use a seedling compost in my first small pots and then transplant into the coco.
