Hello fellow MNS growers...I have a SOG of sorts, a Medicine Man grow that's been under 12/12 for 46 days -- flowering for 39-41 days.

It seems that some have turned color with the pistils (moe than half the hairs have darkened), and upon looking through a microscope I see that there are many amber trichomes...perhaps even half. But it looks like they must be turning straight from clear to amber. Will some individuals do this with Med Man?

I'm rather at a loss now, because I haven't been watering straight yet for a harvest, as I expected a couple more weeks for even the earliest cases. Can anyone offer experienced guidance? I would very much appreciate it.

By the way, this is a clone grow with the two mothers also in flower.

I have not grown the Med Man yet, though I do have seeds of it put away

In my experience, the trichs go from cloudy, to clear, then amber. I personally like my herb when only a few have started to amber up, and the majority are clear, but thats just me.

I would suggest you take a small bud that looks ripe, and cut it off the plant. Using very sharp scissors, I would carefully cut the bud apart, and lay it out over cardboard.

The cardboard will act as a dessicant and dry up the herb, and it will be smokable by tomorrow for a quick sample to give you an idea.

Definately stop fertilizing if you still are, though I doubt it.

Are the smaller clones finishing faster than the big mommas? That is usually the case with me.

Take more than you think you need, as it will shrink up a bit I suspect.

Clones often ripe a tad bit earlier as the seedplants ... , maybe you sprayed your plants with kelp containing additives .... , maybe neem oil

No they dont hasten maturity , just turn the hairs brows ...

And there are NO trichomes that go from cloudy to clear as its a backstep in the maturing process and therefore not possible ... ( you cant turn the time back either )

Is it possible to do a close up without the hps on , so we can see the actual color ??

Alaska: ^That is the case. I know you were mistakenly turned around when you said cloudy to clear, but I don't want you to lose a good harvest over it, either.

fjällhöga: Sweet looking bud (and seriously good photography, too!). I see what you mean about the premature darkening of the hair.

Tomorrow while watering, I'm going to categorize them into two groups according to apparent triche maturity. Since there are two phenotypes with this stran, it ought to be done fairly easily. The tallest, fattest plant -- a regular clone, by the way (not a cloned top) -- still shows every sign of being an immature, growing flowerer. Some others do as well.

Seriously though my White Rhino I grew, not that this helps, finnished at around 55 to 60 well done if I remember correctly...2 phenos, one quicker both under 60

IME, they go cloudy(milky), and short, to taller, and clearer, then finally tall and amber. Always seems that way to me

^I see what you mean, Alaska. I think Fj was referring to the capitate gland then.
