Hight control on a mature plant- creative ideas needed
iv been growin in my closet for a while without lsting or topping or anything
and now i regret it since one of my females has grown very tall (bushy, but also tall) lst wouldnt work cuz the main branch is too hard and it will snap and she is in flowering for 10 days so is it too late to top? or are there any other techniques i could apply? |

This question was answered in another thread for you. Don't cut anything off, it's too late. You will decrease your yield considerably if you do that now.
Can you put any other lights in there? hanging ones that will reach the lower buds? If you can move the pot around everyday, changing the position it could help some too. Let it grow....... |

Sure it will help if you can arrange them so they are getting lights to the lower buds. That is what I do. I have a 150 hps with a reflector and then I have as many as 4 cfl's hanging, depending on my needs.
![]() I have them so they are adjustable in height and I make sure the sides of the bulb are facing lower branches, with cfls, the sides of the bulb and not the tip is where you get the best light. |

Inches away, they don't get real hot, they won't burn unless they touch the leaves.
Different views on topping in flower, you got some good answers here from growers with some experience and lots of pics in their gallery to prove it. They seem to think not cutting would be best. Up to you hun. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.p...4&page=1&pp=15 Last edited by pieceofmyheart; 01-11-2007 at 08:34 PM.. |

put a piece of plexiglass just over the top of you plant to keep the plant from hitting your lights just make sure that it is will mounted so that it doesnt fall and crush your plant and so that your plant will bend to the plexi and flatten out if the plexi is well mounted

There is a product out called "Bushmaster" that you use at the onset of flowering that makes the ladies get really thick without a lot of vertical growth. Kelp helps also.
I know that probably won't help you know, but just for future reference. EDIT* DOH! Beetlejuicy beat me to it. |
