how much Dr Jays Better Blackout Butter would you consider a dose
Ok...I know potency & tolerance are very variable but...
Using Dr Jays ( RIP) Better Black Out Butter method with .75 ounce of good quality bud ( not trim) to each pound of butter. What would you consider a good dose of the finished butter. I've heard 1 teaspoon is a good place to start. Any thoughts |

Hey Hogleg,
yes, you eat it. So I used myself as a test subject since I didn't get much feed back on this one. I used 8 oz of b+ grade bud with 5 pounds of butter. I used a coffee grinder to turn the herb to flour and cooked in the crockpot for 3+ hours ( mostly on low). I yielded 6+ cups of canna butter. The squeezing of the cheese cloth to get the butter out proved to be the biggest challenge. I needed a bigger piece of cheese cloth for sure. I ended up keeping the green matter as it is still saturated with butter. I'll use this for brownies or something...my system doesn't mind the "roughage". I found 1.5 teaspoons of the resulting canna-butter to be a good dose. 2 teaspoons put me out for a nap and 1 teaspoon was noticeable but subtle. I consider myself to have a decent tolerance. That being said...I know people that have a much higher tolerance. Peace |
