also do you advise on using ro water to stop the build up of minerals in the drip lines.

my water comes out of the tap at 0.6 ec

those drip set ups look fine to me. but i have not seen them in action myself. but from the look and sound of them they are ideal for anyone wanting a drip system for a small number of plants.

if you have ec 0.6 tap water, then ro is useful for you. make a mixture of maybe 50/50 or 60 ro and 40% tap this way you'll get your tap ec way down, but still have the trace elements that canna is expecting in your water.

gaiusmarius you said in a previous post that you have a 350gal rez that last one week, so when the end of the week comes do you

a. wait till float value stops pump then refill with pre made mix for that week

b. drain everything then refill

c. flush with water

what do you do with the small amount left in the bottom of rez and in feeder lines, do you drain it all out first or just add water or nut mix on top? thanks

no man i just fill up on top of whats left in the tank. i don't drain the system more then once between runs. in fact with canna coco A+B you can even refil on top of a half full tank. used to do it in a cold place so the water temp wasn't too coldm which it would have been had i filled the whole tank at once. but now i just let the tank get as empty as the pump can make it or close to it, then i refill. between every run i scrub the tank down and empty it, but not during a run.

thanks gaiusmarius

so when you mix the old solution with new you don’t get fluctuations with ph, ec?

What do you do with the first bit of run off, i see it's filtered though a pantyhose leg (builds benifical bactium). Do you manually/auto remove the first bit during certain weeks because its high in salts and other contaminents?

also how many gph is your pump?

helll oooooooooo

Hi gm im so glad i found this thread, what would you recommend res, dripper, tubing, pump for a 50 site aquatray to waste...

I'm finding it hard to dispose and carry 300ish kilos of coco up the step ladder, the mess and all them pots PPFFF ..haha...so these slabs seem fookin ideal to me..one at a time like

im running a 32x6.5ltr coco dripper system run to waste. Its my 2nd run ive had with coco ...the stuff is lovely!!!! however 3 drippers failed due to calcium or salt build and i dont think the 2ltr per hr drippers are what i need at mo.. ive been feeding through a hose pipe just on end of pump and counting in seconds on each pot...i canna take it any more!!!
as i read earlier in your thread... i too tend to run my feed on the light side, ec 1.4.
im currently running a 90ltr res, which im changing my res every 2-3 days
, depending on what stage. cant be doing with it fella ...what sorta res do u think i will need for the 50 siter ???

pukka thread Gm... love the plants your system ....your doing the do bro

what are u running ...25mm fittings? for pipes and 6mm feed ?

i think ive found my new home lol ...hiya all cya around!!
regards
John

Has any one run a recirc coco drip suscessfully? I am currently running that set up now. I am using 2gph drippers to each plant in coco pots. Currently all in veg in 16 oz cups. I run the drippers twice a day and long enough to recycle the water in the res.
I have about 4 gal in my res and so it takes about 10-12 mins. they have been using about a gal/day or so and my ec is around 1.3 going in to the 3rd week of veg.
So far i have had no issues except i can not keep my ph under 6. It wants to stay around 6.2-6.4 It does not seem to effect the plants as they are all healthy and growing like weeds! I suspect the benifitial bacteria have somthing to do with that as i keep my res alive. I have a stocking over the drain in to the res and their is about a cup of coco in the bottom of the stocking that just sits in the res.

I am using Floranova/licious&plus, LK, Hygrozyme, Hydroguard, Organic unsulf. Molasses and a 60/40 RO/tap water as i have really hard water .8 ec.

I would like to here from more people who have tried to recirc there res with coco.
Thanks

Quite a few folks use a recirculating system. You should read this thread again, there is a lot of good info in this thread ..

I saw a few folks who run them but i have yet to see a thread about it. Most every one is run to waste. I have seen the moms on a recirc but what about the whole grow?
I am not one to ask a question with out looking for the info first. I am finding that it is working just fine myself just wanted to see if any other recirc coco growers would chime in about any issue they have run across.
I am coming from Bio-Buckets in a wardrobe and have had nothing but great sucess with that system. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread....36&page=1&pp=15
is a link to my last featured grow. I just needed to run more than 4 plants this run as i have 4 strains going ATM. Grapefruit x c-99 (wally), Sourbubble Bx1 (BOG last 3 of my orig seeds), Apollos Mist F2s(my F2 of REZ AM) and my own Sour Bubble Bx1(outcrossed once and then bx to my clone mom)

The trick in this one is that the SB are so Indica and stout and the AM is so sativa and streachy it will be a chore. The SB can take a high ec no problem the the AM don't really like it heavy on the nutes. So far though no issues and i an stoked with how well the coco is performing I am thinking of running 2 Bio-Buckets and about 4 coco plants from now on. Who knows i might just convert 100% coco but i like the fact i don't have to buy anything for my buckets. I recycle the rocks as i have enough to clean one set while the other is in use. The Coco is supposed to be recyclable up to 3-4 times but not indefantly. Its not the cash as much as its the trip to the store that i trust in my driving range is about 1 hour away one way.
I guess it might be time to start a recirc Coco grow thread?

Thanks
~Raygun~
