Flowering question (starting today)

I am begining to flower my plats today and i have a question

i am starting the lights at 07:00 AM and they will be off at 19:00.
i am growing in a closet and i have some small light leeks so should i keep the room dark in the dark times? i mean can't i even turn on the lights in my room from 19:00?
and if i want to chek on them should i use a flashlight?

thanks guys

I read a thread somewhere, the author claimed that the power indicator light on his heater caused his plants to go hermie.

Now, I find this a bit hard to believe, but I think you should let "sleeping" plants... well, "sleep". If you can, just let them alone for those 12 hours, do all of the TLC during the "Day" cycle!!!

Yes, keep the room dark, do not turn on the lights or use a flashlight. You shouldn't "check" on them while thay are in dark period.

My preface...I'm no expert. Illl tell ya what I do. I don't use my "flowering" teas right at first. I give them about 2 weeks into flower before I change.

Good luck

Oopsie, did I say THAT out loud???

Hey, what can I say, I'm relatively new to these boards also, so I didn't know that there was a penis clause, when it comes to knowing how to grow, my mistake!

You can put a green lightbulb in the room and it will not affect your plants during the dark cycle. The plants do not see green light.

The reason a plant is green is because it absorbs every color of the light spectrum but green. Chlorophyll in the plans heats up and starts photosynthesizing because it absorbs the different color liht waves, green light waves on the other hand are completely reflected by the plant and will not start any photosynthesis. It is also known that if enough light does get into your garden that your final yield could be noticeably decreased.

Hope that hepls!

Happy Growing!!!!
