does anyone know if the white interior of a refrigerator helps to eliminate lumen loss due to its reflctive qualities? i know when i open the box it looks like an alien ship landing.

If it's white, it is helping reflect your light back. Remember flat white is better than glossy if you feel so inclined to try and improve upon the existing color. Dont forget about wraping paper (mylar style) and safety blankets either; after the holidays everything is on sale!

It might help some, but if it isnt even Im guess it could cause hot spots. If you are against painting it, or mylar, why not just leave it as it is. I always like to use k.i.s.s. method. If it aint broke dont fix it, that sort of thing.

I haven't set up a fridge grow [yet], but have been studying up on them and the consensus for many is that the stock white interior of most refrigerators insulates too well and often causes heat issues. Just FYI.

I would think with the proper ventilation temps would not be a problem. Of course the only way to know for sure is to try it.
