I ran a 5 pack of fem beans of the Snow a few months back. I'm really impressed, which I better be for $150 a 10 pack. I ended with 2 different pheno's, I'd say 1 (which I got 4 pheno's of) is more of the classic haze or maybe the Laos influence. The last is more green and would say its probably the Hawaiian pheno. This last pheno produced a couple of harmless nanners towards the end, nothing I had to worry about. A couple points of note:
1) All were really good, most differences were in the smell. The first I chose to keep was the same as the second, only one had a more classic haze/hay smell, the other the sweet sativa smell. They also had twice as much crystal in early bloom than the other sisters (far above). 2) As reported by a couple others there is some purple hue's towards the end of flower on the haze pheno's. This may be genetic or environmental, or a little of both, but I had the same experience, nonetheless. 3) I was a little takenaback at first with the flowering time. However, I found from my personal experience that this strain matures more like 11-13 weeks. It was also extremely managable for how long it took. 4) And finally, thinking this strain would act more like a Neville's Haze I switched over to flowering after only a couple weeks (if that) of vegging, in anticipation of a long stretch into full size. This didn't happen, they stayed about 12-18 inches in height, growing a only a single poll, and not the branches I was expecting. Smoke tests to follow on the non-kept pheno's and the Hawaiian pheno which are hangin right now. The 2 Haze pheno's I kept were pulled out of flower and sent to reveg as soon as I knew what they were (about 5 weeks in). The Hawaiian pheno made it to the end and has just been sent to reveg. Hope this helps a little. |

Hawaiian Snow lovers unite!!!! It's awesome to see that the HS is one of the most loved strains from Green House. It is also my favorite sativa on our catalogue.
Few tips: the HS likes extra P and K during week 4 to 10 of flowering, when the buds are shaping up. The pH should be in the 6.0-6.2 range to optimize assumption of p and K. EC level should be low compared to other sativas (1.5-1.6 will do the job at peak flowering). Flush abundantly during the last 10-14 days to get the sweetest taste. ![]() :-) |

5.6-5.8 is ideal for growth. When you flower, you can higher it to 6.0-6.2 to boost P and K intake.
