Good to see an old world afghani. I'm sure this will be a great line to work with. I too am an Indica lover at heart. Especially if it has medicinal value. I'll be tagging along for the ride. BTW, I'll be starting up a thread soon for the gifts You know...them F12's heh heh.

I just read in more detail about the plant, and it says it is a hybrid? so is it about 90% indica/10% sativa? I guess I can kind of see it in the upper pictures, but the paki style definitely looks 100% indica. can't wait to see how these bud, should be lovely!

it is a stabilized afghan hybrid, so I'm pretty sure it's a cross between perhaps an old world/pre soviet and one of your more standard Afghans.. So it's likely still pure indica, even the non-PAKI style phenos scream indica..

BTW, my 1st male showed on these the other day.. As soon as all are sexed i'll take pics and prune down the males..

thanks for stopping by everyone, and welcome to the HTC forums truth.

Can't wait for the pics and I am glad your set up survived the flood.

I am interested in the traits they show regarding smell, resin of course later on flavor.

Are you going to go single or multi cola? I guess we'll see soon enough.

Peace...

Hey kmarpa thanks, the flood wasn't too bad, but it sucked..

I decided to snap a couple shots as 2 males showed and I wanted to prune 'em back to save some space in veg. I've also had one fem show, no pistils, but i'm 95% sure. One of the 'normal affie' phenos is still unsexed, as is the oldskool pheno.

I haven't really been rubbing them yet, but when i pruned the males back I crushed the cuttings and they gave a very nice typically afghani smell. But I like to wait till resin shows in flower to give a good description of smells, as it more often than not changes alot from veg smell.

Here's the fem (back left), unsexed (back right), and oldskool pheno:

My fave, the one with the phatty-boombatty solar panels, aka the oldskool pheno:

Here's the 1st female, typical afghani style:

Unsexed typical afghani style:

2 males, typical afghani phenos, tho the male in the 2.5" is slightly dif from the other standard afghan phenos, phatter leaves:

Standard afghani male:

Slighty phatter leaved male:

Those fat leaves are great to look at. I'm guessing the fatter leaved old school pheno will probley have less weight to them but in my personal experiance I would rather have quality over quanity anyday. That is a nice looking male too. Looking good so far.

looking great so far. I love this cross. There were about 2 distinct phenos. I had one of each. The funnything is that the seeds were large on one plant and small on the other. Like there were large DC pheno'd seeds and the small is the Paki. SO I hope to have a male female toback cross and work out what I crossed them with. The large seeds might be pure afghani cross as I did try with the afghani male to pollenate first.

Hey folks, my 5 HTIndicas are sexed.. and I'm very happy to anounce I got 2 'regular' affie fems, and a few days ago confirmed pistils on the 'old skool' pheno..

I'll get pics of the fems soon, they've all been transplanted to 6" and are vegging up under 430w hps..

If i had to guess, i'd say the phatter old skool pheno leans more to pakistani heritage.. I see more similarties between the old skool pheno and the PAKI IBL, than I do DC.. And the PAKI IBL seeds are almost as large as DC, and pale beige jus like DC..

I have 2 regular style males in veg.. All plants are healthy and easy to grow so far, no issues or problems at all, but they are fairly heavy feeders..

When you cross the males and females together which one ussually is more dominant in the cross the Female or the Male? For example you have the Old scool pheno which turned out to be a female and you have a regular style male. Will there be more Old School or more regular or 50/50 pheno's?
