suitcase grow
Hey I just thought I'd share a few photos of my microgrow I had goin a few months ago. It was all done in a suitcase with a 70w hps and some nice NL genetics. I know its not as nice as some of the stuff I've seen on here but I've never seen anyone grow in a suitcase like this before so I thought I'd post it. It seems to offer more height than an ATX case, it seals out light really well for the dark cycle. This was made with an old suitcase. I cut a hole in the top of the suitcase the size of a computer fan and attached the fan for adequate ventilation. I removed the padding inside and painted the inside flat white. I taped sheets of paper to the roof over the hps to form a crude reflector. The fans were powered by AC adapters. For this grow, I tried to LST but I snapped the main stem clean in half so I just topped at a spot on both plants I though would branch out nicely. The plant on the left grew a few frosty colas before I harvested early. The plant on the right yellowed up on me after around four weeks of 12/12, only the fan leaves yellowed the buds remained mostly green. I think I'm done growing until I can put something better together even though this worked pretty well for awhile...

props on the suitcase grow, never seen it before. Ive seen computer case grows, and speaker box grows, but never a suitcase. Are you going to stay with this setup for a while or are you looking to upgrade?

Thanks ezra, I'm hesitant to continue this setup due to security concerns and lack of resources. Would definately like to upgrade to a cab when I can afford to do so...

Thanks glassmaster, thought so myself, the yield isn't always that great but for now its my only option if i want to smoke. I think through LST over time I can increase my yield with higher yielding strains. Any suggestions, anyone, on what I could do to improve this set up? |

I love all the original ideas people are coming up with nowadays. Good work canniferous. You should be careful putting pieces of paper above an HPS light. If the tape comes off and the paper falls on the light, I dont think it would be a good outcome.

Cool and very original idea. We'll grow weed in anything, won't we?
