thanks Raco, nice to see one of the friendly DC/PTK/X-18 growers, a lover of a good indica no doubt

Great story/info pter! I am fascinated with all the different representations of the pure indicas from the middle east..

BTW, great news everyone! The 1st 1/2 of the HTC stock made it here (decided to split it up to be safe)

I'm sitting here staring at 25 Nepal Hash Plant IBLs, 15 PAKI IBLs, 15 Sunshine IBLs, 2 sealed breeder packs of Powerhouse, and 20 HT Skunk IBLs.. I'm a very happy man, and extremely relieved, that these rare and exceptional genetics were not lost, destroyed or damaged on the way here.. That's 1/2 the battle won, wish me luck on the other 1/2. believe me, there wasn't a day gone by since these were sent that i haven't worried about them..

Also, speaking of Middle Eastern genetics, a great hobby breeder will be sending me about 5 or so different landrace lines from lebanon, mostly hashplants of the indica persuasion I am very anxious to grow these out, i also have some Lebanese landrace from Blue Hemp. Which i will start with the localy sourced landraces for comparison..

Speaking of Blue Hemp, I also had some Pakistani landrace from them, which i started with the PAKI IBL to do some comparing.. well, i only start 4 beans, got 2 normal males, 1 mutant male, and a mutant female.. i'm sorry to report that i either screwed the mutant up or her genetics were inferiour, as the whole plant, i shit you not, yeilded no more than 3 joints.. This was a fully sexed female, so a decent size.. I attempted to smoke 1/2 a joint but it was like smoking tobaco, altho the plant/bud did smell nice, kinda floral with some apple or something.. It had decent resin production..

But from that female i can't really judge the whole line, i'll have to start the remaining beans, and would like to do them outside, as they finish in about 45-50 days and landraces do much better with real sun and lots of room to spread their roots..

Hi to all!

thanks for share the paki pics beancounter! They look very interesting. The appearance is beautiful, extreme indica. I can smell the gummy hashy aroma here

Do you know the more about the origin of the line (date was originally recollected, zone ...)?

Good vibes for the preservation! dubi

my pleasure, these lines need to be shared via pics at least, to show essentialy the origin/'pure' lines that current hybs and strains came from, and old un polluted gene pools are just so cool to see and grow.

I don't know much on the exact origins (obviously Pakistan is a diverse area) yet.. To tell you the truth, i'm kinda overwhelmed with all of the dif lines, and whenever I talk to Bub on the phone i always forget to ask him tons of dif things.. I'm piecing all the info together as I go tho, learning more and more, by comparing to other pakis, getting bits of info from bub.. Maybe he'll be able to provide more info on the exact area of collection, but I know these are genes passed onto him by his mentor..

It's still fairly unworked, only 2 gens i believe seperated from the originals.. And there is still a decent amount of variation, and room to take this line in a few different directions.. But it's still stable for most traits so far.

The preservation has to be done, no doubt.. The fact that it's a ridiculously PHAT old indica is just icing on the cake

thanks for stopping/checkin in cbf, this line is definately a phatter line than DC, with more of a rounded shape to the fans, especialy starting out.. they get pointier later in veg, but still wider than DC.. I will do some pics/measuring of some of the bigger fans at harvest.

m.steelers.

as a footnote, I started some Nepal HP IBL last night, just 5 for now.. I'll start a thread for em in veg, and add more pics as I grow em. They're some of the phattest seeds I've seen from Hill Temple, and that's saying alot..

I also started some Cheese x DC aswell, to go along with the ECSD, C99, and VenomBerry (all crossed with DC too).. i have some other DC crosses to test with em soon aswell.. Then I'll pick a few of the best lines to work further..

I'm gonna start some more PAKI (probly 10) as soon as the Nepal and CheesexDC are in the soil. I gotta bit of space in veg now, and the PAKIs don't take up alot of room the 1st 3wks..

right on BC, yer doing great with them!

As to the exact region of the line, I am not shure.. Ill see if I can get that info. I know tho, that this line, as with many from the HTC, were brought to the US in the late 70's early 80's.
Ill try and get further information if its still available to me.

here are a couple shots from the last paki plants I grew. these displayed some hues. not all of the line does. these were of the same gen that BC is running.
(Ill add more when the upload process stops selectin pics I havent chosen to upload........)

BC, I aswell as many other folks, look foreward to the results of the hybrids you have been woking on. you certainly have a nitch for good flavors in combination.

HTC will focus on Medical Cannabis seed production first, recreational Cannabis seed production afterwards. If the two happen to swim in the same pool, then, beautiful.

in theory, there is no difference between practice and theory...
In practice, there is..

Looks pretty close to me.

I would feel overwhelmed too, beancounter. So many traits to keep track of..... I'm sure it will all work out in time.

Looking forward to seeing the Paki and Nepal HP IBLs as well as the Cheese, ECSD, C99, and VenomBerry DC hybrids coming up soon. Gonna be quite a show watching the genes play out....

excellent arno! that does look very close, in fact, it's the closest looking paki I've seen.. Looks a tad stretchier, but without having grown the IBL outside it's hard to really compare..

I will say that the leaves on the laspur don't have quite the size that the IBL does, but very similar in shape.. the leaves in flower are far bigger than a dinner plate, simply HUGE, and that was vegged mostly with floros.. way bigger than any DC i've grown (not a fair comparo, i haven't flower DC from seed yet). I really can't wait to get this line outside for a season, I would have to call guiness for those leaves

No doubt Pipeline, it is overwhelming. That's why i'm compiling what i can on all the lines as I go, but mostly focusing on what's in front of me to keep from getting sidetracked..

I look forward to those hybs aswell.. I basically made them for myself and med users, but ended up with a pretty good amount.. If they test well and people want em we'll make sure to get them out there.. I don't wanna push out anything just for the sake of pushing it out.. With the help of test growers i'm sure we'll come up with something people will apreciate..

I look forward to the Nepal aswell.. I'd love to find opiate free opium
